“We worked with LeAndrea at Cabinet Discounters for our kitchen remodel a couple of years ago, and overall it was a great experience. From the beginning, she was incredibly patient, took the time to understand what we were looking for, and provided personalized guidance throughout the design process. She helped us think through different layouts and cabinet configurations and was especially helpful in presenting options that fit within our budget without making us feel like we were compromising on quality or functionality.

One thing that really stood out was how Cabinet Discounters handled an unexpected issue during the installation process. We had planned to remove a soffit that concealed a pipe running through the ceiling. Based on the original design discussions, we understood that the cabinets would accommodate the existing pipe without requiring it to be moved. However, once the cabinets arrived, it became clear that the pipe would need to be relocated. This resulted in additional contractor costs, but Cabinet Discounters stepped up and covered the expense. We felt that was incredibly fair and demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction that you don't always see.

No project is perfect, and there were a couple of things we wish had been caught earlier in the design process. We had discussed wanting to place our microwave inside one of the cabinets, but the cabinet ultimately wasn't deep enough to accommodate it. We also have a corner cabinet designed for a Lazy Susan that didn't include the rotating shelving itself, which has made storage and access less practical than we expected. Looking back, we would have appreciated more guidance on both of those items during the planning phase.

That said, we're very happy with our kitchen and the overall experience. LeAndrea's professionalism, patience, and willingness to work through details made a potentially stressful renovation much easier.

“FCI recently installed laminate wood flooring in my downstairs family room, replacing very old and dismal carpeting. I can’t say enough about the Sanya Sbar, the owner, and her staff. Within a couple of days of my email inquiry, Sanya came to my house to look at the room and discuss flooring options. She was meticulous in showing me samples of the options and discussing their pros and cons. I agreed with her recommendations and was pleasantly surprised by the cost she quoted a couple days later. The work soon started and the new flooring was completed in two days. A few days later, the carpet on the stairs from the first floor was replaced with treads that match the flooring. The transformation of the room was amazing, as can be seen in the before and after pictures. The new floor dramatically increased the brightness and appeal of the room.

The installation crew was outstanding and their work of very high quality. They dealt efficiently with unexpected problems (such as having to remove unexpected old vinyl tile glued to some areas of the concrete subfloor). And they went above and beyond merely installing the flooring. First, the flooring was also installed in an alcove containing the washing machine and dryer. When the crew moved the washing machine, they found that the water feed lines were continuously leaking (and probably had been for years). Walter, the crew chief, was skilled in plumbing and replaced the leaking connections. Second, the washer/dryer alcove once had bi-fold doors which I had removed several years ago due to age. Sanya suggested that if I bought new bifold doors, her crew would install them. I jumped at the idea and their presence adds to the improved appearance of the room. Third, Derek, the man who did the stairs, found when he began removing the carpeting that corners had been cut in building the stairs. As a result, he installed additional bracing and tread supports and now the stairs now have a much more solid feel to them and no longer squeak loudly when anyone uses them. Fourth, I had purchased an upright piano that was to be delivered later that same week. The piano had to be taken down the stairs to the family room and the moving crew said the handrail had to be removed in order to do so. So Walter, he of the flooring and plumbing skills, also removed the handrail and the piano was successfully moved down the stairs. I think Walter would probably also have done a load of laundry for me if I had asked him to.

Within the coming year I intend to install the same flooring on the ground level of my townhouse and the stairs up to the second floor, tile flooring in the kitchen, and new carpeting throughout the upstairs. I have already had discussions with Sanya on this and am looking forward to working with her and her people again.“
