Kicks Karate in Frederick offers exceptional karate and kickboxing lessons for all ages and abilities. Passionate instructors provide a supportive environment that boosts self-control, confidence, and self-defense skills. From Tiny Tigers (ages 3-4) to Teen & Adult sessions (13+), there's something for everyone. The teachers, including Mr. Joel and Mr. London, are wonderful, keeping kids engaged and making the learning environment positive and fun. They are attentive and work well with the children, nurturing their growth and helping them improve. The staff does a great job explaining and breaking down lessons, incorporating physical and mental tests, and ensuring a safe and clean location. Kids love it, and parents highly recommend it for introducing their children to karate. Kicks Karate is recognized as the best place for kids in town, where they can engage in both physical and mental activity while developing important skills like discipline, body stability, regulation, and first-time listening.
Kicks is an excellent extracurricular activity for our son. He learned one time listening and was counting to 20 in Korean in no time. I saw a real sense of pride when he earned new belts and broke a board. The instructors are all very good at balancing discipline with fun and laughter. I would recommend it.
Friendly teachers and they make it fun. Each class ends with a fun game. My son has been going here for a few years and is now a black belt. Making it fun, and a challenge, is why he stayed.
My son (age 3) has been attending since February of 2025 and has loved it. The instructors keep it structured and teach good listening skills while letting the little ones have fun all at the same time. They never raise their voice and lead by example to really show them discipline and the introduction to karate.
Big shout out to Mr London and Mr Joel. They are great role models for the young ones and really connect with them. They both go above and beyond what is expected and it’s greatly appreciated.
