“I had severe termite damage to ceiling beams in my basement - I had three different contractors come out to give quotes. TYG was by far the best in terms of the design of the repair and the quality of customer service. He was able to accomplish the restoration work when others told me it couldn't be done, and he did it by being very intentional about the design process for how the beams would be removed and replaced. Other contractors told me I would have to shut off gas and power that were attached to the old beams, or recommended a framing out the basement in a way that would have less support for the room above. TYG was able to creatively access an 18 inch area to slowly remove and replace all of the beams. His team filled concrete holes where the old beams went into the wall (also sealing off where the termites had entered). They replaced the beams with reinforced supports that honored the original design of the house. And he and his crew did it all in three days! With five star customer service along the way. I HIGHLY recommend TYG Handyman for any restoration work.“

“Jim did a terrific job with an assortment of tasks including installing a new exhaust vent fan and caulking a couple windows and a bathtub. Most importantly, Jim helped resolve an unexpected mold issue discovered in our kitchen ceiling. This problem was much bigger that we anticipated. Fortunately, Jim was able to expertly and professionally remove the mold, replace sections of two copper pipes with pinhole leaks, repair a compromised roof rafter, and patch up the hole in the ceiling with new drywall and paint. “Jorge and his team did an excellent job rebuilding our basement following flood damage! We received fair prices, consistent communication, and the work was completed in a timely fashion. “Our technician was outstanding and fast! He was professional, friendly and did a great job.

However the pricing was a bit interesting in our case. The work took 30 minutes. The job is estimated on an hourly rate, the customer has to pay for the first hour regardless, even if the technician only take 15 minutes to get it done. After the first hour your billed in 15 minutes increments unless it goes to the next hour. So, we were billed 1hr. 30 minutes for a 30 minute job on top of a $75 trip fee.
