I recently moved to the area about a year ago and needed a stylist that was professional and really reliable. I truly found this in Lawanda! I also love that I am usually in an out of her chair within 2 hours. I have armpit length thick semi relaxed hair and Lawanda does a truly fantastic job in getting my roots straight and flat! This was dealbreaker for me in finding a stylist, as I don't like puffy or stiff roots. She also is tremendously skilled at detangling and blow drying! My hair is thick which tangles and knots easily after washing. Lawanda takes her time and I don't experience hair loss or breakage during this process , as I have with other stylist. Overall my hair is healthy and is growing more. Lastly, I love the private mini salon suite that really allows the stylist to focus on the client without a lot of extra activity. I highly recommend Lawanda!!

On top of her amazing skills as a barber, she's also such a nice lady and I really enjoy our conversations while getting my haircut. The first time I went to Lily was my first haircut in nearly 5 years. I didn't know exactly what I wanted so I let her do what she thought was best and it was honestly the best haircut I've ever had! Earlier today, I had an 11:30 appointment with Joey that took an unexpected turn. I inquired about the pricing for my service—facial hair only—and was quoted a price. I then asked if this pricing was listed on the website, and when it wasn’t, Joey responded by suggesting, “Maybe this isn’t the place for you.”
That statement was not only surprising, but also deeply offensive. I had previously vetted this barbershop and had a detailed conversation with a staff member before booking and paying for services. I’ve never had an African-American barber speak to me that way, so to hear it from someone who isn’t was both audacious and extremely inappropriate—especially in a space that should be a sanctuary of professionalism and respect.
I chose to leave Joey’s chair. Thankfully, the gentleman in the first chair and his wife stepped in and connected me with Jimbo, who completely turned my experience around. Their kindness and professionalism made all the difference.

I'm not going to lie, this salon was challenging at first. I had to come back twice to have my nails fixed. However, on my third visit, I decided to also to go ahead and get a pedicure since I was already here. My pedicure was incredible, neatly done, and I was so relaxed. I had __ fix my acrylic fill and she took her time (graciously) to fix my issues with the shape and all over design of the nail. What really solidified by experience was the fact that every person greeted was treated with respect and kindness. I can tell the staff here is well loved and they love their customers back. I was a first time client and even they treated me as if I was a returning regular. I don't live in the area but greatly look forward to returning.

She is also skilled at growing your own hair underneath, especially if your goal is to grow your own locs. My hair feels healthy and is getting to a length where I will feel comfortable wearing it out. She is also efficient and I am in and out within a reasonable time - now waiting around on other clients. My time is my time and I value that type of service.

Waxing in general is not pleasant. But for my first time at this establishment, I have to give major kudos to my wax specialist, Michai. I am hairy. Super hairy. I have been getting wax treatments for a while. It's not my first time at this rodeo. But this was my first time here. Michai's technique is so gentle and so pleasant (I know it's an oxymoron) that I almost fell asleep. Notice I said almost, lol. But she was so gentle that it barely hurt at all. Oh, and her prices are AMAZINGLY REASONABLE! I'd go for her prices alone. I'm definitely booking my next appointment here. I think I've found the best wax specialist in the DMV.

I had an issue with an exterior door on my condo that, according to two other contractors had been installed poorly and was now "warped" and would have to be replaced at great expense. Mark took a look at the door and, while agreeing that the door had been installed poorly, suggested he might only have to re-hang the door. So that is where we began. And finished. He was correct, my door only needed to be rehung and not only did he do a wonderful job, and in an incredibly timely manner, he saved me a LOT of money. So I will be able to use that saved money to fix other things. Mark was easy to work with, reliable and super honest.

I found this place thanks to my mom. I have been dealing with lower back pain since 9th grade, I’m a senior in college now. My first appointment I went to Dr. Schmitt he took x-rays and was able to diagnose my problem. I was able to get adjusted and therapy the same day. I felt like a million bucks right after! I’ve only been going for about 3-4 weeks and already feel a major difference. He took me from being in complete pain every day and sometimes struggling to walk. To able to walk and bend pain free. I need to return to her, she's terrific. Her health practices are unlike any other chiropractor. She once healed me; I'm unwell again and have to return because no other doctor I know of, practices chiropractic care the way she does. Her staff is also on point.

It was our first visit here. Our dog's back legs suddenly gave out. They triaged him immediately upon arrival but then there was a 6-8hr wait to see the doctor .Yikes. We stayed and made the best of the situation. They gave him meds to keep him comfortable. I sent my son to the store to get a crate as our dog would not endure sitting there for several hours in my lap. Finally got in with the doctor and was given our options on how to take care of our dog. Over all a good experience, just didn't like how long it took

Alanah is an attentive and a personable masseuse! We discussed the pre screening health concerns in depth. I got a 60min + cupping massage and Alanah got to work — identifying my knots and spending extra time on them. I will definitely be booking again with her!
I have a lot of structural issues due to accidents over the last 12 years. I’ve traveled many states trying to get better. I did cranial sacral for a while, that helped a little but it only got me so far. I did rolfing for a while, that helped a lot but when I stopped going once a week the pain came back. It took me to a certain point but stil not far enough. I’ve gone to Mike 4x and I can feel real progress. Structurally I can just tell I am better. We have been working on my more than a decade old hip injury, and I can tell each time that my hip is getting back into place. My third session the hip got better but my lower back felt terrible. It felt like the first day I got the injury (falling off motorcycle). I started to worry but I remember “retracing” does happen (it’s when your body feels old injuries before leaving the body). This pain lasted 4 days and left my body and now I’m all better again. We have more work to do but I’m so very grateful I found Mike. I’ve done so many different types of massages and Shiatsu shintai is a different animal to me. On top of the massage Mike does some getting rid of negative attachments and blockages through shamanic healing. To a lot of people that sounds like hocus pocus, but I really can feel in my body that I feel lighter after these sessions and I just feel lighter and lighter. These sessions are great for people with stuck traumas and injuries. Highly recommend.

Dr. Martin and his team at Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center met and exceeded my expectations. I came to the facility for treatment of lower back pain and sciatica in my left hip and leg. I am happy to say that I am virtually pain free after my tenure there. The facility itself was ideally located, had available parking and was consistently clean and hygienic! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Martin for any of your PT needs.
I have been seeing Laura for my overall wellness needs for years. I went to see her for TMJ pain this week, and I immediately felt less tension and no pain in my jaw. Laura is an excellent acupuncturist who can assist with a variety of health issues. She offers acupuncture as well as recommendations for a variety of supplements that will assist in your healing.

I took the virtual learning course and had the fortune of having Mrs.Jay as my instructor. She was optimistic and had good intentions of truly helping her students understand the material being taught. Her classes are never boring or judgmental for teens like myself. Her presence and presentations really help with the overwhelming feeling of driving.
