“If you are looking for quality and timely work from an excellent communicator, Excellence Home Builders is worth your time. They delivered the remodeled kitchen and bath that we envisioned on time and on budget. The price was in keeping with other quality estimates we received. The work began exactly on the day Eddie had named as a starting date a couple of months earlier when we first contacted him. The only costs beyond the contract were for changes we requested and approved. We were particularly impressed with the respect for our home and work ethic of his crew, Mattheus and Samuel, but every subcontractor provided high quality work that inspectors complimented and passed without any concerns. The materials used were excellent. Eddie’s goal is to be sure that his clients are fully satisfied. He was good at making adjustments where needed and solving the problems that arise in an older house. Most of all, Eddie communicates reliably. We always knew what was going on, when it was happening, and who was coming. If we had needs or questions, he responded quickly, and he let us know in advance what he would need from us. We will use Excellence Home Builders again without hesitation.”

He made our new garage match the house by using subtle trim details others would overlook.He stuck to the agreed budget and never waivered. My changes were handled very fairly.He kept us informed and every day of work they arrived on time and on schedule. Site was clean every day.His meticulous attention to detail is evident in 100 places most people won't see. He made sure every joint was aligned and every truss was spaced perfectly.He matched the colors to the existing house and even insisted on installing shingles on a nearby shed so it matched the roof of the garage. This cost almost nothing and made a huge difference visually.I have already recommended MB to friends and family and that is the most important praise anyone can receive.”
“Winter Hill performed a re-siding job on my 1930's home. It was a huge project that included removing three layers of existing siding, applying home wrap, applying new siding, trim and gutters, among other things.They were fantastic from start to finish. The foreperson was on top of every detail.My only advice for someone looking to use them for a siding job: since they do not provide an electrician for major electrical stuff (i.e. National Grid, Solar Energy, etc.), they require the customer to do quite a bit of "project management" as far as arranging either getting sleeves put on power lines or getting the power turned off while crews are working in that area. But besides this one thing, they were fantastic. I am planning to use them in the future for another project.”

“I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. For context, JW Construction completed a full gut renovation of a beautiful four story townhouse in Charlestown, transforming it into condos. We purchased one of the units but wanted to make significant changes. This was during the tail end of COVID, and we needed to add an office, which required moving the kitchen and completely reworking the floor plan.<br><br>Initially, Jon was understandably hesitant. He already had multiple offers at asking price, and agreeing to our plan would not only increase costs but also require opening the ceiling of the unit below to redo plumbing. To our surprise, Jon agreed, and even absorbed a large portion of the additional cost himself. He also helped roll our expenses into the closing so everything remained seamless for us.<br><br>As first time homebuyers, we had plenty of fears and questions, and Jon guided us through every step with patience. What quickly became clear is that Jon isn’t in this business just for profit, he’s genuinely passionate about construction and craftsmanship.
