I had a two strand twist done by Brysian. She was personable and very professional. I was truly satisfied with her work. The shops atmosphere was welcoming and everyone made you feel comfortable. I will definitely be going back!

Still dealing with hair damage from excessive heat use done at this salon. I know my hair is damaged when it's straight after a wash. I have Afro textured hair, and it's not supposed to be like this after a wash. It's been about a year now.

**Edit: While the salon has replied, there are several non-truths in their response. This was my first silk press with Pam, I had never been to the salon prior. As I admitted, my hair did look great at first, but straight and freshly trimmed hair often does. However, as I said, my hair smelled like sulfur (rotten eggs) immediately upon washing and was visibly extremely damaged (a week or so after the appointment). On top of that, severe breakage does not happen immediately, and it has continued to break for months. You can see the new growth, as I said when I mentioned that it was broken inches from the scalp, but months of new growth on damaged hair is always going to be minimal. 8 months is about 4 inches, maximum, and that does not include shrinkage.

Additionally, why would I have returned to a salon that damaged my hair beyond belief? I was devastated, panicked, and trying to heal my hair on my own, which clearly did not work since the damage was so extensive. Shame on you for doing shoddy work and then trying to blame the victim of your wrongdoings.

    Original Review:

Pam was a great person and the silk press was one of the best I’ve had, before I tried to revert my hair to curly. It smelled like rotten eggs in a way that I have never smelled before, and when I looked in the mirror, my hair was filled with bone straight pieces all the way to the root.

My hair is so damaged, that over the last 8 months, my hair has broken off into several large patches of hair that are only two inches long. For reference, my hair goes down to the middle of my back when straight, so it’s going to take forever to grow back. It is significantly thinner because of the short pieces, and it is also still filled with straight pieces, which have now become much more obvious because of new growth at the roots. I can’t even do a twist out or braid out to fix because the pieces are so limp and straight still. I have tried protein treatments, damage repair, and everything under the sun, but it’s too damaged and continues to break off.

I became fully natural six years ago and I am now worse than when I started. It took my entire life up until 2024 to be confident with my curly hair, and just when I had gotten to a point of knowing loving my hair, one bad silk press completely ruined that. I can’t even cut it off because the damage is so close to the scalp. I would have to shave my head. I am devastated.

Kim braided my grandsons hair for his 6th birthday. It looks amazing. She was very good with him.

Not enough words in the English language to describe how incredibly talented and wonderful Ms. Kanessa is. Not an appointment or interaction that hasn’t resulted in 100% satisfaction. Book your appointment now and thank me later. Better yet thank her.

I have wanted to get a pixie cut for years and did extensive research to find a place that was not only welcoming to new clients but also knowledgeable and found that in Perfect 10 Salon. From the moment I walked in I was welcomed and did not have to wait to be seated! Kanessa took her time to not only get to know me but also learn about my hair journey. Every step of the way she was letting me know what she was doing and how it contributed to the health of my hair. Once it came time to style she educated me on how to maintain my pixie myself! She was able to achieve the look I was going for from one photo which in retrospect didn’t even show much of the style. The cut is impeccable and exactly what I asked for. Kanessa is and her team work with integrity and excellence. I am so happy to have found a home in this salon and can’t wait to be back!

I’m originally from the Dominican Republic and who lives in Boston, where there are plenty of Dominican hair salons nearby. But I was searching for a salon that truly listens to me and blends my desires with professional expertise, and I’ve finally found it! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with so much love and care. The atmosphere is amazing — the music is a total vibe, and I absolutely loved the snacks they offer while you wait for your stylist.

I had the privilege of being taken care of by the owner, Kanessa — such a humble, down-to-earth, and incredibly talented woman. She’s not only an expert in her craft but also a beautiful person inside and out. She evaluated my hair perfectly, listened to what I wanted, and from just a picture, she gave me a complete glow-up that went beyond anything I could’ve imagined. This review comes from my second visit, and I’m so grateful to have finally found my hair care home. I couldn’t be happier!
