As parents if now 2 dogs of course we were nervous leaving them for thst long. Both of them attend daycare there as well. They sent us pictures and texted us to make sure we knew how they were. Yup they were having a blast!!!! The owner, manager and all the staff there are the best. To know your pets are safe and happy as well as extremely loved is hard to come by but Hometown has it all. Thankyou all so much,
Love Peter & Lauren Clark❤️“

We started taking our almost 6 month puppy there in March after having a frustrating experience in another. Tobin is an Australian Shepherd/Lab Mix that we rescued from Scituate animal shelter. He’s also deaf.
This means that he can’t respond to verbal cues, and he also cannot take cues from other dogs when he plays too rough which is how dogs usually learn from each ñother.
He has been going to training since the day he came home to us. He is an exceptionally smart dog and really eager to learn and please.
At the previous Day Care, we were going to we found that every day we would pick him up a different staff would tell us something different about Tobin. It became really frustrating because we didn’t know what we should be working on with him and had hoped that they would be working with him a little bit too based on how they present themselves.
When I had finally had enough, I reached out to Colleen at A Pets Life. I brought Tobin in to meet her and some of her team and I can say for Tobin, it was love at first sight. He absolutely loves his days there and comes home happy and exhausted. Every time we pick him up, we can see how much they care about him and how well he is treated. He just spent the first two nights outside of our home using their boarding and he really enjoyed himself. They adapted to his needs and took a ton of stress off of me during a very important weekend away. — with A Pet's Life, South Shore at A Pet's Life, South Shore.“
“We have taken numerous classes with Donna and Marissa, starting with puppy kindergarten when our Rottweiler was just 12 weeks old. We highly recommend working with them and owe our dog’s good behavior to the many tools we’ve gained through their training.
Donna is an expert who truly understands dogs and brings decades of wisdom and experience to her students. She often begins class by inviting questions from the group if there is anything that came up during the previous week or skills people want to focus on that day. She is dynamic and responsive, tailoring each class to what the students and dogs need. This allows for plenty of individual focus in her group classes, which are typically only a handful of dogs.
Beyond providing a professional roadmap for meeting your dog’s training and obedience goals, Donna makes learning FUN. Classes incorporate games, along with various forms of socialization such as agility obstacles, working through real world distractions, and occasionally training outdoors.
We look forward to our classes and are grateful to have found a resource like Donna and Marissa. It has been a pleasure learning new skills and continually building on our Rottie’s strong foundation as she grows.“

150 Belgrade Ave, Boston“Ruff Translating has been an absolute life saver for me in training my service dog, Mae. The entire team is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They were able to make recommendations based on my needs and also on the genetics/breed of my dog. I learned so much about dog training, building confidence, and meeting the needs of your dog. I know I could not have trained my dog for service work without them and she is so happy now that she has a job and has more emotional regulation and confidence!“

191 Beal St, Hingham“We’ve been bringing our dog here for seven years. Our pooch loves the place and so do we. It’s not only a fantastic doggy daycare, but it’s the only place we trust in the area to do boarding as well. Nicole, one of the managers is a great asset, and the owners who took over a few years ago have consistently invested in their staff and infrastructure.“

Ashley and Tom work with you closely during the training process and were always available for questions. We would recommend them to anyone with a dog!“

This is my first experience with a dog who needs (and enjoys) consistent tasks, learning and training. BFTD’s real world style classes have helped us so much! Hannalore keeps me honest for when I’m letting Kona get away with too much or conversely not giving her enough credit/trust in the skills we’ve learned.“

24 Hall St, Jamaica Plain“Highly recommend Paws to Consider! We've used them for over a year now for dog walks and they are amazing with communication, scheduling, and providing updates and summaries of walks. Any time I had a last-minute question or schedule change, they were super responsive. Our dog is also reactive, and they were great about introducing new walkers to him so that he was comfortable and working with him on his walks.
We also used them for dog and cat sitting, and felt so comfortable knowing our animals were being well-cared by the Paws Team in our absence. Moving away, so we're sad to no longer be working with them!“

8 Quail Run, Norwood“Pamela at Down 4 Paws was awesome. My dog had SEVERE separation anxiety to the point when I couldn’t even walk out the door, and it was giving ME anxiety because I couldn’t go anywhere or do anything without finding someone to sit with the dog. I tried everything (trying a protocol of walking out the door, calming plug-ins and calming treats, toys, calming dog music, long lasting treats) by the time I contacted Pam. She came in and worked with Ziggy and I and started where we were at, working on in the house separation first and working our way up. She gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to discuss options with my vet, worked with my routine and schedule and gave me all the options to try so Ziggy and I could be successful. I’m happy to report Ziggy can now stay alone for HOURS at a time. Thank you Pam!“

“Kay is an awesome trainer! She taught us a lot with my boy Teddy. She was responsive and a great teacher. Our Teddy knows how to: sit, lay, come, and stay within a few session. Book her for your next training. There is nothing better than an obedient dog.“
