When I got tired of the chemicals, growing my hair out was a tough process. I couldn’t keep up with any routines as a busy surgeon and mom so it was mostly buns and not the cute kind. I started going to curlbar 4 years ago and Taylor gave me a routine I can manage. With 2 hours a week on wash day, I feel great about my curls all week and spend about 2 mins a morning on hair. It survives through workouts and work days in the OR. Also, I love visiting curlbar, it feels relaxing and fun and I love the celebration of beauty. Love curlbar!

“Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.

Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(“

“Sarai is amazing. She did my hair for a wedding, I was in, in the past. So I felt comfortable bringing my daughter to her for her first"grown-up" cut (more than just straight across). I was nervous to bring her to get it done, but Sarai really made the process painless. Instead of rushing through the cut, she really took her time and cut little by little. She talked to my daughter the whole time, making her feel comfortable. The end result was amazing. The haircut came out beautiful, and my daughter loved her.
