Very disappointed with our experience so far. Takes forever to receive services leaving a large void after a three month hospitalization. Intake nurse said my daughter was approved for a home health aide but then we get a call 3 days later that it has to be submitted to insurance. In the meantime, no help. It’s taking a full week after the intake for the first nursing visit. This is unacceptable. We have seen OT and PT once each and they were okay.

Overall, I have been quite disappointed with the service. I expect much better from this institution. I am the son of a patient. We are still under the care of Mass General Brigham home care service. I had a very unfortunate discussion with the lead nurse Vera. Vera had come out last Wednesday to see my mother for the first time. A few of us were there and we were very unimpressed by her general lack of caring. She seemed like she does not like patients or their caregivers. The following day the physical therapist found a fair amount of discoloration on her skin as well as a pressure ulcer. I had asked Vera why she did not check for this when she visited. My father used Mass General Brigham home care after he was hospitalized at Lahey clinic. The physical therapist Richard was excellent, caring and friendly. The nurse Kristine was professional and compassionate and was great about communicating with us. The one time she was running late to see my father, it was because she was held up with a different patient who she had to send to the hospital unexpectedly which I can understand. She kept us updated and called to tell us she was running late. The work they do to help people recover at home is amazing.
