I worked with Ed to get photos taken of my 8 month old twins. Ed was so helpful and easy to work with it was a wonderful experience. I mistakenly came to my appointment at the wrong time and Ed was still able to accommodate me. Ed was responsible and professional in person and on the phone. Mastercraft replaced the roof on our 1873 mansard house in Cambridge. The project was extensive, covering the mansard sides, peaked top, an L-shaped flat roof over an extension, a bay window, an overhang at the front door, and the flat roof of a mudroom, plus new gutters, soffits, and window trim.
The crew, led by Alex, worked diligently for 10 full days, completing long hours and cleaning up meticulously at the end of each day. John O'Brien, the owner, was great to work with. He helped us select an asphalt shingle with a bit of color, which served as a fitting replacement for the original 152-year-old slate. The initial quote was clear and detailed, and the final price was only about 10% more due to necessary permits, dumpster overweight from the old slate, and new plywood sheathing for rotted wood.
John handled the logistics of working in Cambridge, including the necessary permits for construction and the dumpster. Both his roofing supplier and dumpster company were excellent, with drivers who skillfully navigated our narrow street without any issues. John was responsive to texts and calls, easy to work with.
We will not need a new roof anytime soon, but I would hire Mastercraft again.
I’m a move manager and professional organizer and I hired Lumiere Cleaning Services for a move-out cleaning for a client. They were able to accommodate our tight schedule between the movers and the closing. They brought in a team and took care of the 8500 square feet, including 9 bathrooms and the kitchen appliances in an afternoon! I look forward to working with them again!
Jon was very thorough and went over our report with us immediately at the end of the inspection, as well as answering our questions through the process. He was also very punctual with handing off a consolidated list of high priority items, which we very much appreciated during our inspection period. I was able to contact contractors he recommended, all of which replied very quickly.
What a great team! We were looking to redo the kitchen floor so a friend recommended us to Eddie, the owner. He actually came out himself and greeted us and did the estimate for us. It came in a tad higher than some other estimates we got. Just knowing his track record and from what other people have said about Eddie and his company was enough for us to make this easy decision to go with Smart Coats. The guys came and completed the work in no time! We barely noticed them there they were so clean. They did such a great job we're redoing our master bathroom and closet with Eddie. Noah provided an awesome, personally tailored massage. He is very knowledgeable regarding the human body, its muscle and tendon structure. He gave much appreciated feedback throughout the massage and welcomed my input. Just the right amount of talking and quiet. I had a one-hour massage last week and looked forward to a 75-minute massage next week. His assuage therapy room is very nice, comfortable, with heated bed. He has a nice waiting room with window (natural dayligt!) as well. Free, off-street parking, too.

Old school neighborhood dry cleaners with old school customer service that rarely exists in today's world. Owner operated with superb attention to detail. Not open late and not open Sundays but the quality of service makes up for that. Not sure why you'd go anywhere else if you live or work in the area.

We remodelled two bathrooms which were 30 yrs old. The process was very organized and professional. There are extensive preconstruction meetings with a team, which I have not had with previous contractors. These meetings were very helpful, and helped to stimulate thought. We were also set up with an interior decorator, which was very helpful. The construction itself came in on time and on budget. There were no unexpected surprises. The workmanship is excellent. The subs were great, especially Jesus the tiler. Overall, I would use this company again without hesitation.
