UPDATE.... I have to say, after getting everything finalized and into the VA system, they have been GREAT. The Robert J.Dole Center and its employees are awesome!
Filed a BDD claim 179 days ago. Im officially retired and the VA still hasn't even contacted me to get my exams. They took over a month to accept my claim from my VSO. went to step 4. Went back to step 2, amd I've been on step 3 for over a month. No phone calls, not exams, nothing.
Do yourself a favor and drive to another state to file bc Kansas does not take care of their veterans!
After being with this VA four years now, I have to change my review. This VA is trying hard to do better. I finally have a good primary doctor, have a great mental health doctor, and have been getting the treatments I need. This VA is the best one I have been to. My luck at first wasn't that good, but I spoke up and when that didn't work I went to the office that is supposed to help veterans.
They keep changing the name of that office and I don't know what it is called now, but they came through for me. Dole VA is at the top of their game.
