Drafting personalized recovery plans and explaining to me why we are doing what we do. The knowledge and most importantly the kindness around your recovery is second to none at this facility. Dr Shawn, Ingrid, and Billy are all true professionals. 5/5“

To say Tricia went above and beyond would be an understatement. She ran around everywhere on a busy morning getting me second, third, and fourth opinions. Very grateful for my care team, can’t say enough good things.“

On Thanksgiving day, I was baking my 18.88 lbs of turkey while baking my first pumpkin pie with the filling from scratch. Boy, I chopped off some fingernail of fourth finger of my left hand. I was bleeding and hurt. I found out that the hospital I normally go to had only one Urgent Care open that day by dialing the same number twice. After 15 min drive the medical staff from inside told me that I needed to walk a few hundred feet to Emergency. No I didn’t want to walk over as it would cost me at least $80 to $90, so I bag her to talk to staff inside again. The answer remained the same. With much disappointment and frustration I left there to make sure my big turkey would be okay. Yes I still had one and an half hours of baking time!
Next day this wonderful urgent care which is only two minutes walk from my apt homes admitted me and provided TC with love concern as to why I didn’t look online for ways to prepare pumpkin upon knowing that I used a big transitional Chinese knife to cut off the thick skin of my pumpkin. The nurse Laura here was and so was the higher trained staff (sorry I forgot her name) since they both had taken great care of me.
Just a few min ago I walked in again to ask for a piece of finger cap as it was cost. RN Laura told me another case like mine but the cut was not as bad as mine.
I also did call the Patient Relations of the said Hospital. The lady answered the phone apologized to me for she concerned that the medical staff didn’t even look at my figure but just sent me off to ER/ED.
Whatever I do I wanted to be fair to potential patients as an advocate, especially for seniors and cancer survivors. I am part of PIVOT of the said Hospital for Cancer Research and Patients since Fall 2021 and I had Clinical Pastoral Care training at St Luke’s Hospital Summer, 2023, with Masters of Divinity Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.“
