“I’ve been a patient of the Lawrence CBOC for several years and Dr. Colvin and Terri are excellent! Dr. Colvin has gone the extra mile for/with me for routine stuff and serious stuff - like when I had to be transferred from one hospital to another. She is super knowledgeable and will find the answer if she doesn’t know. Most of all she is very caring and compassionate from a patient perspective. Nurse Terri is also amazing. I don’t know all her many responsibilities, but she is super responsive and I honestly think she will do anything within her power to help someone. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better team!!!Some left comments about the phone system at the CBOC, that’s controlled by the hospital and is pretty challenging. I would recommend secure messaging or just stopping by if you are local. If you ask for their extension you can call and be transferred to the CBOC but I think most of the options send you to Topeka. While this is frustrating, for me it’s a reflection on the VA not the local CBOC.“
