“Okay, so it's been like 2 months since I came in for a haircut by Susan and I am still in love with the result. I get up every morning, look in the mirror and think, wow I look fabulous 🤩
Susan was able to do what so many hair stylists before her couldn't. I have thick, coarse, frizzy hair. The last stylist I saw advised me against face framing layers -which is what I really wanted. So I decided it was time to look for a new stylist. After some research, I found the Mae Salon and was drawn to Susan's work. I first came in for a consultation to make sure she'd be a great fit. She assured me that the look I wanted was possible, it's just that some stylists unfortunately don't know asian hair very well and all that it is capable of. When I came in for a haircut, Susan gave me the face framing layers that I wanted and took a lot of the heaviness out from the back of my head without diminishing volume or giving me an uneven, choppy look. And I've never seen anyone cut hair the way she does, so confidently and with so much joy! What's more, she explained the needs of coarse hair to me in a way that made me feel confident when shopping for hair care products to meet my needs. So now two months later, I not only have a great new haircut, I now have a new and low maintenance hair care routine that incorporates hair products that smooth and hydrate my hair without damaging it. Needless to say, I am so happy that I found Susan and will definitely be returning for my maintenance cuts.”
