There is a serious problem with Oak Street Health.
They told me it was time for my annual visit, so to prepare myself I made a list of things I needed to address. They canceled my appointment the morning of the appointment.
I've called 4 times trying to get an appointment and each time they say they will call me back.
What kind of doctors office won't give an appointment and offers to call you back?
I've been waiting almost 24 hours for them to call me back for an appointment.

Edit: I was able to finally able to complete an appointment and all my concerns were addressed, by the medical assistant that was able to change the type of appointment I was given, and Dr. Bodkin. I initially gave 1 star. I'm giving 4 stars. I would hope in the future I can get consistent care through the Glen Park office. ?

“I was experiencing severe pain in my right knee brought on by spontaneous Hemearthrosis(bleeding in the knee) After 2 trips to the emergency room and draining my knee of blood, I was refered to an orthopedic surgeon who drained my knee 4 more times.
The orthopedic surgeon never failed to tell me that I need to get a total knee replacement every time he drained my knee. I'm sure he knew about GAE , but that wouldn't pay his bills like replacing my knee would.
Saw a commercial for NG Vascular and vein and it specifically mentioned my condition. After making an appointment for a Genicular Artery Embolization for March 9th, I experienced another bleed and the pain was unbearable. Even tho it was a Sunday I called doctor G's answering service and didn't expect to hear back so soon, but Dr G called me back that day and moved my procedure up to February 18th. The pain was gone!
Dr G showed his true compassion for his patient by understanding how much pain I was in and accelerating my procedure. Thanks Dr G!“

“Anyone in Nwi who needs a DOT physical should be making an appointment. Dr was kind, knowledgeable, and in great spirits. He’s the only person I met doing DOT physicals for a great price! It was definitely a great experience, and I will be back.“

“I was truly blown away by the service I received from every staff member I encountered! Everyone was so professional, friendly, and ready to help. I almost forgot I was at a medical facility because they truly make you feel like more than just a patient.

The front desk ladies were welcoming and knowledgeable. While I was there, I witnessed a few situations where it would’ve been easy for someone to get out of pocket, but they stayed professional, calm, and handled everything with grace.

My wait time was about 30 minutes, which really wasn’t bad considering how busy they were. I’m an OB transfer patient, so I was pretty nervous going into my appointment. But from the moment I was called back, I knew I was in good hands. The medical assistant was so bubbly, personable, and made me feel comfortable right away!

The bathroom in the back could’ve been a little cleaner, but again, they were really busy.

My midwife, Sharon, is truly an answered prayer! She answered every question I had, eased all of my concerns, and made me feel seen and heard. I left my appointment feeling valued instead of like “just another patient.” For the first time in a while, I left feeling stress-free and genuinely excited about giving birth again!

“Dr. Simpson and his staff are all AMAZING! Dr. Simpson is extremely caring , knowledgeable, professional, and listens/validates everything his patients have to say. He makes his patients always feel comfortable and displays empathy and genuine concern during visits. The nurses and front desk women are all very kind as well! I am always seen in a timely manner during all of my appointments. I would recommend Dr. Simpson to any of my friends and family! He is a great doctor to have during your weight loss journey and really cares about all of his patients.“

“Doctor Mario Robbins is one of the best psychiatrist in the NWI region. I have been a patient for 7yrs now. His staff is for the most part a great staff. We are all human beings dealing with mental health challenges daily. Doctor and his staff are also human beings that have a call in life to render services to Us with the mental health challenges. Yes we may have to wait longer periods sometimes but it is NOT every single appt. Trust me out of 30yrs of my diagnosis I have seen my fair share of psychiatrist and he is by far one of the best I have had. He does not throw nor shove ANY & all kind of mediation if not needed.
