Roger is a great teacher and I would recommend his one-on-one classes to anyone who has a specific project idea in mind or wants to learn more about woodworking in general!
I went in as a complete beginner to woodworking and wanted to build a coffee mug display shelf for my wife. Roger taught me how to use the miter saw, drill press, orbital sander, and palm router. He clearly explained all the steps of the woodworking process and gave me lots of information on the considerations for using different types of wood joinery, glue, and finishes.

Literally the best! He also lets you do things on your own and teaches u how to do it I love it and I wanted to open my piggy bank cuz I didn't have the drill and the drill bit for it so he let me use his drill and walked me thru the process of undrilling the screws for free he's such a nice guy and his wood shop is sooooo cozy and nice I recommend

I’m a student at IU. I wanted to make a drop spindle. We don’t have a lathe. I called, and made an appointment. I’ve used a lathe before, but only once, and it was a decent while ago. For a grand total of *checks notes* $20, I not only got to borrow the use of the lathe, but a meticulous, step-by-step review of everything about it. He wasn’t just ‘okey dokey here lemme put the wood in for ya, turn it on, and you can go at it with a chisel’ he was ‘I’m gonna teach you how to set it up and adjust it yourself, and also inform you about a bunch of different carving tools and their different uses so you can turn this chunk of wood into exactly what you want.’...read full review
