3141 Dundee Rd, Northbrook“What a great place for the kids and adults to stay healthy and to learn discipline. My son and I both have been training here for over three years now and it is one of the best decisions I've made. At school all the teachers rave about how respectful my son is and how he is always helping other kids and trying to be a good role model. He is able to defend himself and other kids when he needs to. The Masters are great and take their time to talk with kids and guid them to better themselves mentally and physically. What we call black belt attitude. When I started training, I weighed 228lbs with high cholesterol and high blood pressure, now I weight 190lbs and perfect cholesterol and blood pressure levels, I feel great, I'm more flexible, I have much better stamina and I'm proud that I achieve my black belt along side my son!“

249 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine“I truly believe this is a great place for young children to learn the basics of martial arts while also having fun in a kid-friendly environment.
My son really loves coming here, and I have personally noticed a lot of positive changes in his confidence since he started taking classes. As a father, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your child genuinely enjoy an activity—especially when I get to be a part of that experience with him.
One thing I truly appreciate is that this place does not feel like it is just about making money. You can tell they genuinely understand the value of these activities for young children. Teaching little kids is not easy, and their pricing is much more affordable than many other places. To me, that shows they are doing this with passion and care. Without a true love for what they do, it would be very difficult to offer classes for young children at such a reasonable price.
I highly recommend this place to any parent who is looking for a fun, positive, and meaningful activity for their child.“

2055 S Lake St, Mundelein“It's difficult to express how much our family is grateful for Ki Martial Arts.
I enrolled my daughter at 3.5 y when she started showing some signs of ADHD. She's now a 3rd degree black belt and honor roll student. My younger daughter just got her 1st degree black belt and it has been such a great life experience for her, I loved seeing her truly experience the process of working hard for something and achieving it.
Both my daughters go to Ki's afterschool and summer camps. I am extremely paranoid about trusting anyone with my children. Ki is one of the few places/people I actually trust my children with. First, it's a real family business: The father is the Grand Master, the mother is a PhD in behavioral psychology and heads the afterschool and summer camp programs, and their children are in the programs, with their eldest daughter now a head instructor. The classes are fun yet structured, and there are a ton of non-martial arts lessons such as manners and life lessons. The summer camp is great value, and the kids go on lots of field trips, outdoor park time, and other activities, and their safety procedures are rigorous enough to keep paranoid moms like me at ease!
I was inspired to enroll myself after my daughter earned her one of her black belts, and now have my third degree too. It has been a wonderful experience for improving health and athleticism, gaining confidence, and helping with adult ADHD. I have met a wonderful group of friends in the adult classes.“

1625 Shermer Rd, Northbrook“We’ve had our son here since the day he turned 3, and he still gets excited every single time we go, which probably says more than anything else I could write.
All of the instructors strike a really impressive balance: they’re patient with the kids, push them to work hard, and still make sure they’re having fun. They know how to get the best out of each child while building confidence instead of pressure. Over time we’ve seen our son become noticeably more confident and disciplined, and he’s even learned ways to center and refocus himself that we now use at home.
What we also appreciate is that it feels like more than just a place to train. They put effort into creating a community- hosting events and parties and making families feel welcome, not just enrolled.
We’re honestly grateful for how they’ve treated our family, and we’re confident this experience will have a long-term positive impact on our son. We’d recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.“

My daughter has loved her experience at Kennedy's martial arts. She has made great friends and has built up wonderful self confidence. We feel very welcome there. The Masters are very encouraging and want each student to be the best they can. I was inspired by these Masters to take up my practice as a black belt in Taekwondo again.
