1625 Shermer Rd, Northbrook“If you are looking for a great martial arts school that does not only teach the moves but real life skills, look no further! We tried two different MA studios in the past, and CMA is by far the most professional one. After an incident at school, my son has been struggling with anxiety so badly, and CMA has helped him tremendously to find his self-confidence again. Master Sanjin has a wonderful way of making the classes fun and giving the students just the right nudge to step outside their comfort zone. I am really grateful to have found this school!“
“My 7 year old son has been going to Total Impact for several months and loves it! All of the instructors are patient and understanding, yet require the students to be focused so they are able to learn. We would definitely recommend Total Impact to anyone interested in starting martial arts!“

It's given her a level of fitness (strength, endurance, flexibility), confidence, and discipline that I didn't even know she needed! Master Ray and Amanda are so kind and encouraging. The other students and parents are also so wonderful. We are so thankful to be a part of the AKYI family.“
“Absolutely delighted with MBD! Sensei Michelle and her team are exceptional – their teaching is thorough, and the positive impact on my kids is already evident. The excitement they show for each class is heartening, and I'm even contemplating joining myself. Kudos to Sensei Michelle and the team for creating such a welcoming and impactful martial arts experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

The kids had such a good time and we loved seeing their smiling faces. They made it so easy for us to host there and it was a special experience for everyone.“
“It's been a year now and my son is a purple belt. He is enjoying it very much. The instructors are awesome and really care about the kids. I would recommend Des Plaines Martial Arts to all. :)“

677 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines“Firstly, if Ma'am or Sir end up reading this, I have to say that I'm sorry I didn't share a reason for my sudden departure from lessons. I had been stewing on it for a while, as High School drew closer and closer to beginning, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to focus on both. That conflict of interests ultimately made me enjoy these lessons less and less, as I was naively afraid to directly voice my concerns, and ended up saying nothing like the young and dumb teenager I was. I probably should have written this review much earlierSecondly. Having spent so much time here, I can safely say that it is one of the most welcoming, honest, and family-like groups I've ever been a part of. Practicing, training, sparring, and learning together always felt wonderful thanks to how much each of us got to bond with one another, form friendships, etc. Not only is this an excellent place to learn Tae-Kwon-Do, it is an excellent place to meet people you genuinely enjoy engaging and interacting with, especially Sir and Ma'am, who are the best instructors a student could ask for.I apologize that it has taken so long for me to say much of anything after my departure, there is no excuse for that, and even less for not sharing the reason for it prior to doing so. I cannot apologize enough for that, truly, I cannot- E. Rodriguez“
“I was very skeptical about signing up my oldest for TKD because I was worried about how he would listen. This has been, by far, the best investment for him. The masters are engaging, passionate, and attentive to all the needs of the children. I'm so happy we found DKF. Master Adam and Master Sporanza are truly the best! At 4.5 years old I can already notice a huge difference in my sons behaviors and mannerisms at home.“
“Great place to learn Tae Kwon Do! Well kept, well run. They really care about their students.“

“Chang's Taekwondo is a great school. My son not only has been progressing in taekwondo, but has also gained a lot of social and emotional life skills, confidence, as well as personal responsibility. They have a great program of combining physical activity/games, taekwondo and life skills; and I have enjoyed watching my son's growth, both physically and mentally. Most importantly, he loves going to classes here and even insisted we sign him up for summer camp!“

36 Skokie Valley Rd, Highland Park“I have been practicing Kungfu at the temple since Jan 2019. I am coming up on 3 years. I still love it and continue to grow. Since then, I have lost 60Lbs and cured type II diabetes and eliminated high cholesterol. This was my intended goal and Sifu and Tom were instrumental in helping me reach my goals. But the Temple of Kungfu is more than that. It's about personal growth, being your best self, mentally, spiritually and physically. Your Kungfu travels with you. The Taoist lessons learned apply to everyday life. I am equipped with an array of skills and tools that I apply daily. It's about learning who you are, what you can achieve and constantly setting new goals for yourself. The Temple is about growing into the best version of yourself. After spending years in the health club, I can honestly say, I can never go back. I learn at the Temple and practice daily at home. Sifu has given me an arsenal of knowledge and techniques to work on. Depending on what I feel I need to work on I practice; Qigong forms, Tai Chi, Splashing Hands, Hsing-I and meditation, Shih Shui. In the near future, I will look forward to learning some Bagua as well as more advanced techniques. All-the-while healing the mind, body and spirit. If you are serious about your health and want the tools to mitigate stress and be a happier person then I highly recommend Kungfu and the Temple.“
“I cannot say enough amazing things about this dojo. Sensei Veronica is AMAZING with kids! They have a variety of classes from young kids to adults. She is flexible with scheduling and has a ton of fun add on clinics, classes, celebrations to keep it interesting! I am forever grateful that such a gem is right in my neighborhood!“

1587 Lee St, Des Plaines“It's not Gracie Barra, it's Tiki Terrace now. My family and I shared a wonderful time together to celebrate 2 birthdays. We saw several Hawaiian dances and heard a little of Hawai'I 's history and traditions. Because there were several people celebrating their birthday's, 2 people where brought up on stage to dance. It seemed as though the whole restaurant was one big party. My family certainly enjoyed the experience. The food was okay, shredded pork, salmon and breaded chicken were served with white rice and a macaroni noodle salad.“
“My son has been training at Jimmy Pedro’s Judo Center in Wakefield, MA and while visiting our friends in Chicago, I asked Coach Aaron to see if my son could join his class while we were in Chicago. From the moment we walked in, Coach Aaron welcomed us and treated us like old friends. The coaches at this dojo are very experienced, just read their resumes, and the facility is fantastic. The dedication coaches have towards teaching Judo is truly inspiring. On top of that this dojo has a group of supportive and enthusiastic young athletes who welcomed my son. There were around ten kids in my son's age group alone. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in learning Judo.Thank you, Coach Aaron, for making our time in Chicago so much more memorable and for being such a wonderful host. We are looking forward to seeing you and your team in Boston.“

1002 Weiland Rd, Buffalo Grove“My son has grown emotionally and physically stronger, along with an increased confidence over this last year. Instructor Lee is not only a good teacher, he's a good role model and has been a wonderful influence with just the right amount of encouragement to inspire my son to try hard, to work hard, and to become the best he can be. TaeKwando has influenced all areas of my sons life, at home, school, with friends and I will always be grateful for that, and proud of my son for his accomplishments in such an honorable skill to learn. Thank you, Instructor Lee!“
“Great facility. However, during summer months the closing time varies and is not necessarily 9 pm (often it is 5pm or 6pm). It is better if you check beforehand.“
