“we bought an older home and the hardwood on the main floor was worse for wear, faded and scratched all over with a few water marks near the patio door. figured it needed replacing but the helpers came out and said it could be saved with a full refinish. glad we listened. the process took a few days since it was a large area covering the living room dining and hallway. they sanded the whole thing down to fresh wood first. i was worried about dust getting everywhere but it stayed pretty contained. after sanding they did the stain and then the finish coats. they were clear about keeping off the floors while everything cured which we did. also moved most of our furniture including a heavy bookcase and the dining set. the floors look completely different now, the old marks are gone and the wood has a nice even tone across the whole level. you can actually see the grain again. they kept us posted on each step so we always knew what was happening. for a big refinish like this they knew their stuff and the floors have stayed looking good”
