529 Morse Ave, Schaumburg“C&H recently installed luxury vinyl flooring throughout my the first floor of my ranch home. Their work quality was superb, and the men were friendly and efficient. My only caveat was for the initial estimate for the work. I was not told that my 1949 might need testing for asbestos. Such testing delayed the work and resulted in some additional cost for abatement. In addition, further materials were needed for the baseboard and quarter board. For purposes of financial planning a more thorough estimate would definitely have been preferable!“

121 S Wilke Rd #301, Arlington Heights“I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled we are with the work Tom and his team performed for us. We contacted five or six contractors for a remodel of the kitchen with a changed layout (removal of a dining room) plus reflooring of the entire first floor and changing out the vanity in the powder room, and Tom was the only one who immediately understood our vision, took a collaborative approach to the walkthrough, and pushed back on a thought we had about layout. Others did what we asked for in their estimates, but Tom did what we needed in the estimate.
After selecting Tom to go forward, he took us to work with Lauren at Studio 41 in Schaumburg, and it was very clear they had worked together a bunch and had a common language and vision between them. Her layout of our kitchen was amazing, and the materials she helped select for the cabinets and countertops were absolutely perfect. She even designed a “drop zone” bench and upper cabinet for our entryway, because we’d mentioned we wanted to at least reduce the large closet that penned in our entryway. It’s amazing, and opens up the space so much.
Then he had us work with Denise at The Tile Shop in Lake Zurich, and they both reassured us about the quality and reliability of the products we selected. We ended up with vinyl plank flooring for the whole first floor, a tile for the entryway, and tile for the backsplash in the kitchen. Again, clearly they had worked together and were great about balancing quality and affordability, just like with Lauren.
It was time to start the work. Tom and his team of Martin as construction lead and Andrew and Andrew (not a typo) as craftsmen were great throughout. Because as least one of us was home as they worked, if they had questions or ideas on how to do things different or better, we were right there to figure it out with them or agree with their suggestions. It went amazingly smoothly. That’s not to say it was without those sorts of things that always pop up, but rather that they came up with solutions or consulted us through decisions when needed.
We were so thrilled as they made recommendations and offers to improve the solution, like removing the old toilet paper holder and patching that wall. There had once been a medicine cabinet in that bath, but was last covered up by just a mirror. Instead of hanging the new mirror over the gaping hole as the last remodelers had, they fully patched that hole, as it should have been. This and others were not about an upsell moment, but rather making the solution as right as it should be. Tom was by just about every day, which was so reassuring and very helpful for when bumps in the road came up - nothing slowed down progress.
The time estimate that was given was 6-8 weeks in duration, with variability built in for the Christmas and New Year holidays plus a buffer in case there were any issues. We came in right between the 7- and 8-week mark after that buffer was taken up with accommodation for them to finish up some straggling decisions on another project, as well as start on another small project quicker because of the timing of delivery of some appliances we’d ordered. And of that time, the last 10 days was relatively light with bursts of activity, allowing us to move back into spaces in the kitchen as they were completed, like the upper cabinets and pantry, while waiting on the countertop to arrive (a natural, built-in constraint - cabs have to all be in place before the countertop can be measured). Oh, and Karl was great with the countertop - even with a couple of curves, he nailed it!
Between Tom’s expertise, an excellent team of designers and craftspeople, strong attention to detail, and never, ever feeling like we were being sold or pushed into anything, this experience was absolutely the best this level of work could have been. We cannot recommend Tom strongly enough.“

We immediately setup a time for him to come to my house to take a look at the stairs I wanted to have refinished. He quickly gave me an estimate and I hired him. Alex (employee) and Luciano took care to block off the stairs from the other areas to minimize dust going everywhere. The stairs turned out looking so good! Luciano & Alex cleaned up really well. Sanding the stairs was time consuming, so I thought the price was fair. Luciano had anticipated a full day of work, plus a few hours the next day. The job was completed ahead of schedule. I would recommend Luciano’s Wood Flooring in a heartbeat. In fact, the stairs look so amazing, I’ve already been reaching back out to him about refinishing the other floors in my house.“

Golden Knots discussed the plan of action, repaired the holes flawlessly, cleaned the rug and brought out its original vibrant colors. Also recommended a product to hang the rug on a wall withoug damaging it. Very professional, friendly and stellar customer service.“

“We recently completed a full first-floor remodel with OHI, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and truly collaborative.
A huge shoutout to Kim, our designer, who helped bring our vision to life with incredible style and functionality. Her eye for design and attention to detail made all the difference.
The day-to-day crew, led by Tommy, was fantastic. They were punctual, respectful, and kept the worksite clean and organized throughout the project. Everything moved like clockwork, and their craftsmanship shows in every inch of the finished space.
Like any big project, we hit a few bumps along the way due to some miscommunications, but the way John, Chris, and Sean stepped in to quickly address the issues and get us back on track was impressive. Their responsiveness and commitment to making things right really stood out.
Now that it's all done, we’re absolutely thrilled with the results. The transformation is stunning, and we’re so proud to show off our new space to family and friends. Thank you, OHI, for turning our home into something truly special!“

195 E Stearns Rd, Bartlett“I recently had Matt from Matthews Plumbing Service out to help with my ejector pump, and I couldn’t be more impressed. It’s rare to find someone who combines expert knowledge with such a genuine, personable approach. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing, diagnosing the problem quickly and explaining the fix in a way that made total sense. Matt stands by his products and his work.
What really stood out, was the service he was punctual, professional, and thorough. Beyond the technical work, we had a great conversation while he was here; he’s just a truly kind, down-to-earth, and decent person who takes pride in his craft. It’s a relief to find a plumber you can trust both for their skills and their character. Matt will be the only plumber I will be calling and recommending to family.“

442 W Diversey Ave, Addison“I am extremely happy with the work Nash Hardwood Flooring did on my deck. It had a lot of peeling stain, weathered boards, and several areas that needed repair. Much of the wear was likely caused by the previous owner power washing the deck and applying stain before the wood had fully dried. The finish had failed in many areas, leaving the deck looking very worn.
What impressed me most was the care and attention to detail that went into the restoration process. Rather than relying on aggressive pressure washing, he sanded the entire deck properly, completed the necessary repairs, and applied a beautiful, uniform finish. I believe this approach will result in a longer-lasting finish and better protection for the wood over time.
The transformation was incredible. The deck looks almost new again, and the repaired gate, railings, stairs, and trim all look fantastic. He was dependable, professional, communicated well throughout the project, and clearly takes pride in his work.
I was so pleased with the results that I’ve already asked him to do work at our new house. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for deck repairs, refinishing, staining, or exterior carpentry work.“

220 Eisenhower Ln N, Lombard“GCPro was contracted by my insurance to fix a parkway fence on my property that was damaged by a car accident. I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and competence of Patryk (project manager) and team. He personally came out to check out the damage and the repair progress, and continued to communicate clearly and consistently throughout the process. He noticed an area in need of repair that the subcontractor had missed, and sent the team back to address it. In addition he personally fixed a gate latch that was not part of the repair, but that we did not have the tools to fix ourselves. He is efficient, polite and easy to work with, and went above and beyond expectations. It was a welcome relief when dealing with a sudden unfortunate repair such as ours. As an end result, our repaired fence sections match the existing fence seamlessly. Overall I highly recommend GCPRO.“
