Great course, in great shape. It's under construction as I write this (7/3/26) but it still plays like a great golf course. They also have discounted rates for veterans which I appreciate. The practice area is also excellent.
4 stars because the guy who runs the driving range is an unhelpful jerk. I've played the course around 15 times and despite every other person who works there being delightful, this guy is almost always in a bad mood and makes it your problem for some reason.
Also they're not letting you hit off the grass at the driving range currently. Unclear why not.
Great course great layout. Played HILLSIDE AND RIVERSIDE very well maintain. Couldn't be greener. Rental clubs very good taylor made with very new qi4d. Really enjoyed this round and I've played I'm very good places. Did a lot research looking for a course that was visually enchanting. Layout it's not that difficult but if there is wind like we had get ready for a treat. Btw a lot of trees so you better hit straight.
Update: Looking back 7 years later, Cantigny Golf still stands out as one of the most beautiful and professional golf venues we have visited. We had the opportunity to photograph a wedding there, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.
The golf course itself was absolutely gorgeous and extremely well maintained. Everywhere you looked there were beautiful views and perfect photo opportunities, which made it an amazing location for wedding photography. The restaurant was also excellent and added even more to the overall experience.
