LCCT Muay Thai ClassThe best class ever! I signed up for this class when I found out that Coach Silverio will be teaching. He is amazing! Patient, knowlegable, knows how to motivate. In just 2 months I can see a big difference, cant wait whats next!LCCT Jiu Jitsu Class for KidsMy son signed up for classes 2 years ago and from two days we switched to 5 times a week he loves it so much. Coach Junior and Coach Silverio are incredible! Always ready to help, answer all my questions (believe me before tournaments I have a lot ?). They take time with all the kids to make them better. Classes are organized and after class there is playtime which kids love. Cannot recommend enough!

LCCT is an easy place to find a second home. Every coach here really cares about seeing you succeed and push you to be your best ! The vibe is incredible, this really feels like family! I also really recommend the women’s class for women who want to learn how to defend themselves and also build your confidence.

I am leaving this review for a couple of reasons: I would like to let people interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu know about the lineage authenticity that Professor Luiz Claudio Augusto, along with Professor Thiago, have to offer in their Dojos to the martial arts community in general. I also would like to mention the cohesive and coherent jiu jitsu instruction that Juan Ramon Sandoval "Coach Junior," one of his black belt instructors, is providing in LCCT Schaumburg and in LCCT Pro Boxing Elgin. My Jiu Jitsu Professors Luiz Claudio Augusto & Thiago Vega graduated black belts from the legendary Rickson Gracie. They have developed something that is known in education as The Spiral Curriculum. They have naturally done it in jiu jitsu. What does this mean? First of all, this concept was developed in the field of education by Jerome Bruner in 1960. It is basically an ongoing process of revisiting the previous concept taught and teaching the new one, like "in a pyramid mode" that never stops spinning back and forth. The blue belt techniques of their system in their jiu jitsu is their pyramid foundation. From there, the system expands and intermittently extends. It continuously keeps evolving. The complexity of the techniques that Professor Luiz Claudio & Professor Thiago keep building is a never stopping process. Nevertheless, their foundation of fluency in their "gentle art of jiu jitsu" remains untouched. On one hand, the explosive techniques from the hurricane of MMA keeps storming, but on the other, LCCT Jiu Jitsu keeps adapting and adjusting to such waves of true strength and absolute power. That is why I recommend this jiu jitsu academy. It offers an evolving spiral curriculum that is continuously adapting and growing to the current martial art changes, while preserving its integrity and fluency. Coach Juan Ramon Sandoval "Junior" I met Coach Sandoval about 8 years ago. Although he has been my jiu jitsu classmate for about 8 years, and I knew that he was coaching the kids class at LCCT in Schaumburg, I had not had the opportunity to know him as a jiu jitsu instructor. Nonetheless, Professor Luiz Claudio just opened an LCCT Academy in Pro Boxing Downtown, Elgin. Because of that, I had the opportunity to train with him and observe the way he teaches his classes. Coach Sandoval is truly an impeccable instructor in the way he adheres to the Professor Luiz Claudio Augusto's spiral curriculum. He follows the curriculum in the same pedagogical process that Professor Luiz Claudio would do. He consistently revisits the previous lesson and continues with the next. He carefully dissects each portion of the technique taught during class and makes sure that people understand the how's and the why's Of the technique. Of course, coach Sandoval is not alone. He is consistently technically supported and trained by Professor Luiz Claudio. Coach Sandoval is teaching in Elgin, but Professor Luiz Claudio is closely supervising the quality of the instruction in this dojo in Pro Boxing. I highly recommend Coach Sandoval's instruction because he has an innate gift and dedication in the art of teaching. Before I started practicing with Coach Sandoval, I usually said that I would only train with Professor Luiz Claudio; otherwise, I would not train jiu jitsu. However, after carefully analyzing the way Coach Sandoval teaches and the close ways that he is following Professor Luiz Claudio's high levels of jiu jitsu supervision, I decided to constantly train with him. I have trained in martial arts for about 43 years, and I have been a professional educator in the USA for 29 years. By this time, I have known way too many great fighters, but not many of them have become great instructors or enjoyed teaching. I personally know many champions, but fighting and teaching are very different abilities, and Coach Sandoval is a natural teacher. Teaching is a life-long process and you never stop improving. Still, Coach Sandoval is young and he will solidify his own teaching style. Meanwhile,
