“I was looking for a stylist nearby who could help me achieve my icy blonde peek-a-boo look without bleaching my hair. I came across Zen's page, loved what I saw on her Instagram, and decided to book a hair extension consultation.

She did a great job explaining the process and answered any questions I had about extensions as this was my first time getting them.

Fast forward to the day of the installation and it was the best experience! It felt like I didn't even have extensions on and I absolutely loved the blowout. The curls just completed the final look. I highly recommend visiting Zen if you can for extensions. She truly listens to what you're looking for and will work with you to create the look you want.

“I came to Kathy after using henna for the past 2 years, and my hair was 3 to 4 different colors. Dark/black roots, red throughout, and colors underneath that I didn’t even know were there! My hair is also very coarse and curly, so I knew this was going to be a challenge.

Before starting, Kathy took the time to meet with me for a consultation, which I really appreciated. During our four hour color correction, she explained every step and had a solution for everything. Somehow, she lifted the dark and red henna and even corrected the green/turquoise tones caused by indigo in the henna. Her toner and technique are truly magic. I don’t know what she puts in that formula, but she has the juice!

Kathy is knowledgeable, straightforward, strategic, and really listens to what you want. I went from a crazy rainbow of henna colors to a beautiful bronde/blonde with gorgeous dimension. She introduced the term “bronding” to me so I could get a vision of what I really want in my hair. Colorist is an understatement, she’s an artist. Super articulate.
