I’ll start this review off by saying we originally signed a contract with Michael over at Top Notch Restoration.

We were just months out from the birth of our second child and had to adhere to a strict timeline. After promises and “yes, no problems” and literally weeks of planning and design, Michael pulled the rug out from under us and communicated that he could no longer adhere to our hard deadline, instead suggesting the work would not be completed for two months after our hard deadline.

Of course we were frustrated and terminated the agreement and then contacted Sean, in hopes that he would be able to work with us.

Sean is all about the work. The basement looks amazing and the quality of the work is undeniable! He even had him and his team do a couple other odds and ends that helped us tremendously! My only critique is he needs a project manager. Sean is straightforward and honest about cost and will never do anything to jeopardize your money or the quality of work, but the communication is inconsistent and we needed to remind him about things multiple times in order to either get a response or to get the information we were looking for. Overall, we LOVE how the basement turned out! Thank you Sean and Team!

We’ve been living in our remodeled basement for about 2 months now, and we couldn’t be happier!

Sean visited our home in December of ‘24, and it was clear he had expertise around how a good basement ought to be finished AND he had a good ear for listening to what our desires were. His quote was a clear reflection of both: recommendations for certain construction elements (such as flooring and ceiling types), and inclusion of our preferences (for instance, we wanted to double up on the electrical circuits for a particular wall). And best of all, his price was competitive.

Sean quoted us 7-8 weeks for construction, and by golly they did it in 7 weeks....read full review
