I have been going to Barb for making me beautiful for 31 years. She started cutting and styling my hair all those many years ago and followed her in her career and then established her own salon at Arete on Bothwell Ave., in Palatine and she and her staff are always courteous and helpful and I leave there feeling rested and beautiful with a hair cut and style too. When I was younger had some coloring to hair and now at my older age of 87 just let my silver tresses do their job. Barbara always does a great trim/cut or whatever you need and is a great colorist and stylist too. She has many stylist in her shop and all do great work. Amazing!! I have been searching for a salon and stylist near me for years and today I found them. Stephanie is amazing and listened to my concerns and worked her magic. I am loving my hair and can’t wait to go back. Made appointment for my daughter before I left. Arete is now our home salon!! Thank you so much

I’ve been seeing Peyton here for almost a year now and I’ve had so much fun with each new cut and color we’ve tried. She is so patient and such attention to detail. I love the other girls here too and I always have so much fun
