He(and his co-teachers) have an uncanny ability of remembering the children's names from very few interactions which I value greatly. They also manage to throw amazing parties regularly for the students, keeping it fun an organized for hours on end. Phenomenal school, you will not find another like it.“

4324 Di Paolo Center, Glenview“Chang’s Tae Kwon Do has been in part of our family for 12 years now, since 2012. This was back when the dojang was in its Morton Grove location. Starting from when my older brother, Mr. Justin, started taking lessons to eventually becoming an instructor there. Throughout the years, as it transitioned to its current location in Glenview, Chang’s continues to be a place of empowerment and endless support for us.
As a five foot tall woman, I’ve always felt vulnerable and scared of situations that would leave me defenseless. I took a self defense class here my sophomore year of high school and Master Roger taught me invaluable lessons on how to protect myself. This is what initially got me to join, but what kept me was the amazing community of instructors, leaders, and students. You’re surrounded with such astounding humans who are all so motivated, strong, and make you feel that you belong there no matter your current level of fitness is. I attend the adults class and seeing so many people from varying age groups, from teenagers to people in their 20’s through 50’s doing TKD (doing it so well too under Chang’s accurate and coordinated tutelage) is so inspiring. Because of Chang’s, I’m a lot more comfortable in my environment. I always leave the class with a smile on my face and a readiness to tackle life’s challenges.
I would like to mention that they also host great birthday parties. For Mr. Justin’s 29th birthday, they helped coordinate a personalized, organized and active party. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate your birthday, Chang’s is such a fun and unique way to do so.
Finally, through the disciplines of TKD, they’ve instilled powerful life lessons that have helped me and especially Mr. Justin through challenging life events. Through Chang’s we were able to find family, a constant community that warmly accepts us and pushes us to be the best versions of ourselves. We love Chang’s TKD . We are so grateful to have Chang’s in our lives and even more thankful that Chang's TKD will continue to be in our future.“

He teaches the fundamentals of Martial Arts, as well as the importance of respect and discipline, which are equally important. The facility is well-managed, and the customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this place.“

1508 Miner St, Des Plaines“I am beyond impressed with my son’s experience at MBD Martial Arts. In just one month, he has learned so much and has truly developed a passion for karate. He looks forward to every class and is excited to continue improving his skills. It’s amazing to see how much he’s grown, both physically and mentally, in such a short time. One of the most remarkable things is how enthusiastic he has become about the idea of becoming a sensei one day! The positive influence and encouragement from the instructors have inspired him to set big goals and dream about what’s possible. The staff and instructors at MBD Martial Arts are absolutely wonderful. They are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and supportive. It’s clear that they care deeply about their students and their development, both in martial arts and as individuals. The environment is always welcoming, and the dojo is very clean and well-maintained. The community at MBD Martial Arts is fantastic—everyone is supportive, kind, and respectful, which makes it such a positive and motivating place for my son to learn. I can see the value of the friendships and connections he’s already made after such a short time. I highly recommend MBD Martial Arts to any parent looking for a place where their child can grow, learn, and thrive. The experience has been nothing short of incredible, and I am so grateful for the positive impact it has had on my son.“

They will take the time to help you learn 1 on 1. This has been a fantastic place for my almost 10 year old daughter to learn martial arts. They also have movie nights every last Friday of the month and celebration on holidays. A great way for kids as well as parents to make friends and be social. I 100% recommend Martial Arts of Des Plaines.“

677 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines“Firstly, if Ma'am or Sir end up reading this, I have to say that I'm sorry I didn't share a reason for my sudden departure from lessons. I had been stewing on it for a while, as High School drew closer and closer to beginning, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to focus on both. That conflict of interests ultimately made me enjoy these lessons less and less, as I was naively afraid to directly voice my concerns, and ended up saying nothing like the young and dumb teenager I was. I probably should have written this review much earlierSecondly. Having spent so much time here, I can safely say that it is one of the most welcoming, honest, and family-like groups I've ever been a part of. Practicing, training, sparring, and learning together always felt wonderful thanks to how much each of us got to bond with one another, form friendships, etc. Not only is this an excellent place to learn Tae-Kwon-Do, it is an excellent place to meet people you genuinely enjoy engaging and interacting with, especially Sir and Ma'am, who are the best instructors a student could ask for.I apologize that it has taken so long for me to say much of anything after my departure, there is no excuse for that, and even less for not sharing the reason for it prior to doing so. I cannot apologize enough for that, truly, I cannot- E. Rodriguez“

The sensei Marek is very kind, genuine and shows how much jiu jitsu can positively impact a person if they simply decide to step on the mats. Try a class, you won't regret it and it just might change your life for the better.“

Nakamura-sensei and the other instructors are extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled at teaching students of all ages and levels. Anyone interested in training holistically in traditional Shotokan karate will enjoy the dojo’s welcoming vibe and its diverse, supportive and earnest community. In addition, the north side location, close to both the expressway and the Blue Line, is a plus for me.“

We saw several Hawaiian dances and heard a little of Hawai'I 's history and traditions. Because there were several people celebrating their birthday's, 2 people where brought up on stage to dance. It seemed as though the whole restaurant was one big party. My family certainly enjoyed the experience. The food was okay, shredded pork, salmon and breaded chicken were served with white rice and a macaroni noodle salad.“

“Top Level has, in my experience, the kindest and most helpful people I've ever met. I mainly train at another gym, however, If I didn't have know the people at my gym from years prior, and went into things blind, Top Level might have been where I chose to stay. The Environment Bernie, Leon and the other team members create is about the best thing you could ever ask for. Whether you're looking to just get a work out in, or want to become a professional fighter, top level has the ability to cater to anyone. Really can't say enough good things about the place. As long as I train I'll be going to Top Level, and I encourage anyone who is wondering about getting into legit martial arts to try top level out.“
