1832 Vandalia St, Collinsville“Honestly, i've never even been to this place. However, as an owner of several pitbull mix rescues, i fucking love driving by this place everyday. it just gives me good vibes, & the bulldog on their business sign makes me feel like my pit bulls would be welcome there. the next time i need training or boarding, this is where i'll be going forsure. most places in the area feel kinda pretentious, or like my dogs would be judged by their breed. this place feels very welcoming. as for more concrete anecdotes - i've also heard wonderful things from (my) customers who use their services lmao“
“On our initial consultation Dr. Thacker explained the entire process of what our pet needed. He was very gentle with our old lady and she felt completely relaxed, so much so that she laid down on the table with her head down. She was just introduced to him and I was impressed by how calm she was. It had to be his demeanor and the way he interacted with her.“

“Elizabeth was able to tame my tornado doodle into a sweet and obedient dog. She also explained things well to me, so I feel confident moving forward with training at home.As a year old pup, she even responds to commands from my three-year-old, and he is able to easily take her for a walk. Nothing short of amazing!“

5 Cougar Dr, Glen Carbon“When I moved into this area over the summer, I tried a different vet office in the area. That office was dirty, cramped, and dim. The care was fine, but facilities means something. Hawthorne is both way cleaner and has top-tier service. I had to have my bulldog put down in September and was so thankful for Hawthorne's 24 hour service. I now have a kitten, and will likely have another bulldog at some point, and take them to Hawthorne.“
“John is an excellent trainer. Although he is fantastic with dogs, he is especially patient with helping people learn to effectively work with their pets.We adopted our dog about a year and a half ago, and she constantly pulled on her leash. Walks were stressful, and I didn't feel confident walking in public with her on a leash. We completed John s group beginner class (after much research), and were very pleased with the results. There is much reinforcement of basic commands -- the repetition and supportive environment really helped our dog learn the lessons. After our basic classes, we decided to seek John's help for personalized off-leash training, and again, were thrilled with his help. And, just a few weeks ago I decided to join John s Intermediate group class. When we first adopted our dog I never would have imagined how much progress that she would make. He makes lessons easy to understand, and installs confidence in his students!“
