“This shop caught my eye in insta a while back (when I still had it, and boy do I recommend deactivating that $#!+ ). Was visiting Chicago and knew I had to carve out getting a haircut here. Was nervous asking for a flat top, in part because of boldness of the cut, but also because my hair is on the fine side and I was worried it maybe wouldn't work. It's been a bucket list haircut though. Dan assessed my hair before and assured me it would work, and he delivered!!! I was glowing when I left. I feel so studly and badass. Dan was really patient, took his time, and was great about taking the top down a bit shorter when I asked (which is no quick easy task for a flat top). He even texted around for shops recs so I can keep up this look in LA. Just a really nice guy. The shop is also super clean and beautiful. This haircut was the last thing I did before leaving Chicago and was truly the cherry on top of an amazing weekend there. Would absolutely get another cut here next time I'm in town!“

I really appreciated how she offered helpful advice while also being cautious — for example, when I mentioned wanting to cut my hair a bit shorter, she explained why it would be better to leave it slightly longer so it would style better after drying.
