The first one said, even though we didn’t have hail damage that insurance would pay for, that we needed a whole new roof and gutters for $25,000. “I am not easy to please to begin with, and the complete gut remodel of our kitchen has been a comedy of errors by every contractor who has walked through our door. Despite all of that, I have nothing but good things to say about Graniterra overall and about Kevin and Alecia in particular. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants stone in their home.

When our countertops were templated, there was a mistake made, which of course can happen to anyone. This mistake resulted in the cooktop not being centered under our exhaust hood and the sink not being centered in front of the window the way we believed they should be. In addition, I had not realized that there could be bits of iron ore in the stone, and before it was installed my husband and I had missed the small amount of red in the only section of countertop that didn't need to be replaced due to off-center cuts. The stone is mostly soft white and powdery blue, and my cabinets are dark blue with a grey and alabaster checkerboard pattern marble tile floor. Red is a beautiful color, but it has no place in my kitchen.

It was mainly Kevin who had to deal with me, and he could not have been more understanding. They replaced the sink and cooktop sections without hesitation. Kevin realized how upset I was about the little bits of red in the other section of the countertop and when we were selecting new slabs, he offered to also replace that section as well. Since the red getting in was partially my fault, they replaced that section for cost, which was a much better offer than I thought I would receive. I was more than pleased, and removing the red made a world of difference, both in the look of the kitchen and in my mood.

They installed the new stone countertops and full-height backsplashes and they are STUNNING. I would love to post photos of the completed kitchen, of which these countertops and backsplashes are the stars; however, when our GC came to finish the project, there was an accident involving a guy and a ladder, and one of the sections of stone was cracked all the way through. I had the GC contact Kevin immediately and I have to say, he's also an excellent advocate for his customers. Kevin explained to them (after I had said the same thing but was apparently ignored) that it is not possible to replace just the broken section, as it would not match the undamaged sections. So, he was absolutely instrumental in my getting what I want and what I paid for - brand new, perfectly matched, stone countertops with full-height backsplashes, with no red iron ore anywhere to be seen.

Because of the damage caused by the ladder incident, most of the stone in these photos will soon be removed and replaced - by Graniterra, because I will accept no other. I am very confident that the job will be completed quickly and correctly and will look as good or better than before. It is incredibly comforting to know that, in the unlikely event of another mistake being made, this company stands behind their work and follows through with the promises they make. How very refreshing to find a company that truly wants their customers to be satisfied and happy.

“I’m a few weeks late with this review. A couple of weeks before Christmas, I had a leak coming into my house. A couple of roofing companies gave me the run around and acted as though it was a big deal to fix. I called Irish Construction about a week before Christmas, who came out the very next day and repaired all the areas that were letting flying squirrels into our attic, as well as water that was leaking into our house. Tony would have come out the day I called, but it was too late for him to make it out to where we live. They did a thorough job. No more squirrels or water! “Tom Madden and Sons Construction company did an excellent job at De Soto Public Library. They worked with us for months around being open to the public. They were very considerate of workers and patrons and worked around our needs any time we asked. They fixed things without hesitation when asked and did everything to make sure we were happy with their work. They remodeled our bathrooms, built a new ADA bathroom, replaced a lot of flooring, constructed two new rooms, among other things. I would recommend them to others needing construction work done. “We hired Mizzell to do replace some door framing and make deck repairs. After I made a deposit, they crew showed up within days of the promised arrival time. When more damage was discovered, I was informed and the material costs were adjusted. Once on site, the crew worked on consecutive days to complete the repairs. After the foreman called to check on the finished work, I told him about two minor finishing details that were addressed and completed to my satisfaction within days. This crew showed up when they promised, worked in weather that wasn't always ideal and did a great job. “Austin and his crew working at ATW contracting is a gem! We’re doing a renovation project here at the old US Bank building at Washington Avenue. Austin and his crew make sure the property is being treated with great care and respect as if it were their own houses. At the end of the shift they cleanup the place and they have all the tools back to one spot.

All the hardware, hinges from demolished doors are placed in one box and all the sharp screws are in one container.

It’s more than satisfying to walk through the job site. I’m more than happy to give him reference and we will definitely come back to him for a lot of more future projects.“
