Quincy is a hidden gem in this town. First time there are not having a barber for well over 20 years. She was great from the get go, asked all kinds of questions, got a haircut and beard trim. She made sure I was completely happy before I left the chair. Great personality, had a pleasant conversation while she worked, very laid back environment. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you wanted to be treated like a valued customer, a friend, then choose Downtown Barbers. You will not be a number or be treated like your on a conveyor belt, get em in get ‘em out. I have found a great place and I hope more will give them a try and make it your home as well.
The lady barber who cut my hair was so nice to me. I came in after I got off work at the Loft. As long as I work in Decatur, this is the place I will have my haircut.
I needed a haircut, and since recently moving to the area, I decided to see if this little shop near where I live now would be a good place to go for regular haircuts.I was happily surprised.The owner, who has lived here in Decatur all his life, has many years of experience cutting hair and was very gentle as he did his job. I could tell his hand movements were sure and steady, and that he knew exactly what he was doing. When I looked in the mirror after he was done, my haircut was perfect. I had been paying over $50 in Chicago for a good haircut! Another thing I like about Decatur; how affordable things are here! My price was about $16 and I got a shampoo after the cut too!I look forward to coming back here as often as I need to and I urge you to try this little barber shop and keep them in business. Also, please tip the person who cuts your hair when you're happy with the way they cut it! People often don't realize that a tip for a haircut is highly appreciated and polite. It's somewhat rude to not tip. And I only say this because when I tipped him he seemed very surprised, like he didn't expect it. But he should! He's a virtuoso with those ✂️!

Had advance plumbing come out to my residence and replace some freeze proof spigots. The techs accessed my crawlspace, which was no easy task. The repair job quality was excellent. We had a 3 phase motor occasionally growling. Acting like the brake was on and motor trying to run. Very intermittent issue. When this issue occurred motor brake did have power to release brake. Bodine took motor back to Decatur and went thru motor. They replaced bearings and noticed the brake assembly was sitting crooked. They repaired this issue and has ran great ever since. Thanks again, Bodine!
LATE in the day my main breaker switch failed and numerous calls to several electricians produced no return calls, except this one. Tim came out found a replacement breaker and had us up and running in no time. Professional work. Fair price. Well done.

Aaron has been my "go to" handyman for at least 15 years. He first arrived at my home as the contractor from Lowe's to install front room windows. Now I have him on speed dial and he always calls me back promptly!! He has completed a myriad of projects including installing MANY more windows, bathroom remodel (while we gone, no less), doors, roof repairs, replacing ceiling tiles, ceiling fan installs and storm repair. He is neat and does not leave a mess. I appreciate his opinion when I call for advice and he's always willing to help.

Very informative. The conservation district being close to my home won't allow for them to treat our neighborhood. However I now know that they rake the area and send of specimens of ticks to test for various strains of Lyme disease and keep a look out for West Nile as well.

Walkers Landscaping did the most beautiful job planting bushes and cleaning up our flower bed in the front of our house. They took out old rocks fixed the boarder and put in new rock saving some of the old to mix in. It looks awesome.

After a horrible experience at another highly recommended dental office in town, we found Dr Clark and he is amazing. He took the time to explain everything to my 4 year old at the time, made a scary visit “fun” and got the work done we needed. My little boy now says the dentist is fun and Dr Clark is SO nice! Can’t recommend him enough!

The staff were friendly and added to the calmness of the atmosphere. Went to get 3 of my kiddos 3 year vaccinations but the only had 1 year vaccinations on hand. The doctor was very effecient making it as painless for them as she can. When they finally came home they didn't dart in a dark hole like they usually do after I take them to the vet.

I've worked with her on and off for about 10 years and I can honestly say she loves what she does and it shows! she makes the dogs feel so much better when they leave and how she cares for special needs dogs and dogs that have had traumatic expirences at previous groomers is exceptional. When you take your dog to the groomer you are entrusting them with your baby, to treat them with respect and care and love. For dogs especially ones that aren't used to getting groomed, it can be traumatizing and I've never seen any groomer care the way she does. it's hard to find someone that genuinely loves what they do, Christie loves what she does and it shows ❤️ i will forever recommend her❤️
