R & W Medical Center provides a helpful and patient-centric experience. The friendly front desk staff assist with paperwork and printing. The drug screening process is efficient, with apologetic staff for any wait times. Kristie, the drug screener, stands out for her understanding, patience, and professionalism, making patients feel well cared for.
Unfortunately as much as I tried to like the other aspects of this office it was just too humiliating and exhausting explaining my identity every visit and I do not get my testosterone prescription renewed here. Being trans in this political climate is hard enough, and I can at least tolerate the misgendering and deadnaming/offering to put my preferred name on file but never using it and etc because every Drs office I've ever been to did it. But there was a point he looked at me with real concern and asked if I knew testosterone would cause body hair. I had to awkwardly explain that yes, I know, it's something I'm trying to achieve in my transition- but he doesn't understand...read full review
Dr. Akther is an excellent Doctor and his office is very accomodating. I can call them the day before and they still schedule me for an appt. He's very patient and listens to your medical concerns and addresses them. I've been going to him since 2006.
Dr Akhter is such a compassionate and great physician. During my time there I learnt so much from him about patient care. He deeply cares for his each and every patient and will give you all the time to talk about your health concerns.
I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a primary care physician or if you looking to gain clinical experience as a student.
