We came into it without any dance class experience, and only vague ideas of what we wanted our dance to be (fun! high energy!), and within 10 lessons, we not only had a choreographed dance with tons of energy and memorable moments, but we had a truly great time doing it.

A few years ago (at a different establishment), my wife and I tried to learn to Tango. It was not a triumph - in part because I soon discovered there is not one ounce of Latin machismo in me, and in part because my wife is a strong-minded woman who finds the concept of being 'led' anywhere quite difficult... After a few years of licking our wounds, we recently tried Swing lessons at Ballroom Dance Chicago. This time it was fantastic - the classes are friendly and unpressurized, with the steps clearly explained and demonstrated. And swing is such a fun dance to share with your partner.
