I found this salon through a clean hair product line that they carry, Cult & King. I read the website and reviews. Then I called. I spoke with Bobby, one of the owners. I have sensitive reactive skin, and I also have asthma activated by fragrances. I was nervous to tell him my issues, but he was so gracious and kind and said of course they can accommodate me! So I went in and Patrick did my hair. They were both the loveliest! Didn’t judge me or shame me for my issues. Very accepting. Worked with me and were respectful of my limitations. Bobby is wonderful and the salon is so well appointed and decorated. I struggle with body image and usually avoid getting my haircut because salons are always full of mirrors and I start to sweat, etc.
Aura has gone out of their way to create a different kind of environment where you can feel relaxed and taken care of - even if it’s not your default. I’m already looking forward to coming back!
Aura Salon does not disappoint! From the tailored individual service right down to the detail of the decor, everything here is done with intention and care. Not only is this crew full of skilled hands, a chill vibe, and friendly service, but you will not find bigger hearts than at Aura. I've followed Patrick for years and I'm excited now that they've opened these doors because it has only elevated the experience.
