The store I got my wedding dress - Brides by Young - strongly recommended Alterations by Sylvia in Arlington Hts and I'm SO glad they recommended her! The alterations made my dress even better somehow and they were great to work with. Not the place to go on a strict, smaller budget - but they did it correct the first time and it was honestly so perfect. They also hand pressed it with the iron so every layer was perfect, I was so impressed. Their work was quick too - I went there at the end of May and my wedding was the 3rd week of July. Luckily I didn't need anything crazy done - just fitting the corset more to my shape, adding a bustle, etc.

I have been coming here to get things tailored since my High School prom all the way up until they just altered my wedding dress. The spot I got my wedding dress from ordered me a size too small, so it was snug in all the wrong places. As a bride you could panic, but Sylvia's approached altering it with such grace and care and reassured me what I already knew: my dress was in good hands. They do a phenomenal job and I can't recommend them enough!
Sylvia’s did an amazing job with my wedding dress! They were so detail oriented with the tailoring and made sure that the dress fit snuggly and securely so I could dance, sit, and enjoy the night. Once we were past alterations I asked them if they could add some beading to my dress. Sylvia did 2 options as an example and then let me choose the one I wanted. The final product was gorgeous and looked like it should’ve been on the dress all along. They also never rushed me making decisions and I was very indecisive.
