This is a long review… because I care. I can’t believe Upgrade Labs is in Meridian! To say I am excited is an understatement. I am a HUGE fan and follower of Dave Asprey - from Bulletproof Coffee to Fast This Way to The Human Upgrade/Smarter Not Harder/Danger Coffee. I’m a big fan of biohacks! And now there is a studio that houses multiple “upgrades” in one space. It’s a dream. I’m drinking the Danger “Koolaid”! Today was my first day, and I had a great experience! I tried the Cheat Machine, an Artificial Intelligence machine that adjusts and adapts to your physical ability to handle load and resistance… to gain strength and muscle mass in 45 seconds of work (that apparently basically mimics/biohacks 40 minutes of work)! I like exercise, but ummmm yeah, sign me up! I did PEMF, and I could feel the electrical stimulus pulse through my areas of greatest need for cellular repair (especially areas of previous surgery/scar tissue). They put me in a compression body suit which is super helpful to promote lymphatic movement and drainage that I need. Lastly, they put electrodes on my head, and the computer regulated neurofeedback and somehow created “reward stimuli” in the form of sounds to help me with processing different types of thoughts and emotions. So interesting! I can’t wait to learn more. I signed up for a membership at the founder’s rate! I will undoubtedly be a testimony to the journey because I have great areas for improvement - from poor immune health due to a damaged lymphatic system caused by breast cancer and mycotoxins to [consequently] cognitive dysfunction and significantly decreased physical performance. And I’m only 37 years old! I got a lot going on, however, I remain eternally optimistic! I just need a few biohacks. ;) Besides the wholehearted mission and the “human upgrade and biohacking” methodologies, I really enjoyed the space. It’s an open studio concept which I prefer because you get to have sort of a shared human experience with other people on relative health missions. I’m not a fan of the “clinical-style” wellness centers with the white boxy rooms. The energy was lifted, you could just feel it in your cells. The music was great. The people are super friendly… totally a leave-your-ego-at-the-door kind of place (which is a make-or-break deal for me). I felt welcomed. A young man, Mason, worked with me today. He was so kind; I could tell he was passionate about the work and loved to educate! He’s certainly a rising star. Upgrade Labs will be very good for this community. I’m pumped to see what other locations will be opening up! What a privilege to have one so close to home. I will post testimonial updates. Clearly, I recommend Upgrade Labs. Dive in. Just do it.
