“After cleaning the outside AC unit myself, the fan wouldn't turn on. Called up Aire Serv as I saw they were local. It was after hours call and I was informed it would be a $195 diagnostic fee which I understood. But when Joey arrived to take a look the system turned on. They only charged me the normal service fee of $100. My takeaway is they are honest and care about their customers. Will plan to work with them again in the future.“

The cost was under $1 K. They only suggest replacement if the cost will exceed 1/3 the price of a new furnace (typically $6 K). Nice to know these guys would rather ensure keeping a furnace running as long as possible vs. unnecessarily replacing one.
