We are grateful for Iowa Equine, especially Dr. White, Madison and Maddie whose quiet professionalism and skill made our horses’ passing at our farm incredibly peaceful. Madison lays a euthanized horse gently down with such skill she makes it looks easy. Remarkable. Thank you, Dr. White, for knowing our mares so well and taking such good care of them with deep compassion for years. We also want to say thank you to Dr. Stay for being there for us when Dr. White was unavailable. The transitions were seamless thanks to how well they work together. Thanks also to Dr. Kipper for helping us when an original diagnosis was made in the office years ago, and everyone who graciously answered our many questions via phone calls at the desk. Central Iowa is blessed to have this facility and its staff close at hand. Help your horses and yourself: GET REGULAR VET CARE AND HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR VET!“

Doctor Sara is thorough and takes extra caring time to answer all questions. The staff has a calming knack for the family pets.
Impressive is they recognize and recommend impending preventative care issues, w/o pressure. Their prices are convenient and affordable.
I always exit smiling and knowing my pups, Charlie and Sheen, had the best experience and professional care.
Thanks PMC ?.“

He diagnosed our beloved kitty with a terminal condition and was so patient, kind and compassionate through the process of helping her cross the rainbow bridge. He explained everything so we would know what to expect, as this was the first time our family had gone through this. He is patient and gentle and it is obvious how much he truly cares about his patients and their families.“

1809 S Riverside Dr, Ames“I took Pepper to Iowa State University Animal Hospital since it was the closest place to Nebraska with family living nearby, rather than driving all the way to Kansas City. When we arrived, they immediately took her back to put her on supplemental oxygen while I completed paperwork. Within about eight minutes, we were taken to our room to discuss options and pricing.
We decided to do an echocardiogram, which cost around $500, since she needed sedation for the exam. At that time, Pepper was doing well and responding to her medications. However, the next day, she suddenly stopped responding to the meds.
The doctors presented three options:
1. Attempt to shock her heart back into a healthy rhythm, even though this involves temporarily stopping the heart.
2. Put her on a ventilator if she stopped breathing, which would have cost around $10–15k.
3. Wait to see if additional medications would work.
After exhausting all medications, I chose to try shocking her heart back into rhythm. The staff were very upfront about the risks, explaining there was a chance she might not come back. They administered general anesthesia so she wouldn’t feel it. Despite four rounds of CPR, there was nothing more they could do.
The staff created a clay paw print as a keepsake for us. While I wish my little baby was still here, it comforts me to know she can breathe and play freely without struggling in heaven. I deeply appreciate everything the ISU staff did for Pepper—the care, love, and attention they gave her.
Pepper had congestive heart failure at just three months old, so her chances of living a long life were unfortunately low. Even so, I don’t regret trying every option. Though it was costly—about $2,500—it was worth every penny to give her the best care possible. Thank you to the ISU team for trying so hard for my baby“

““ALL THINGS MOPAR”-been struggling to out my life back together after injury, yet again. Praying for answers of course. Today not only did I find a veterinarian/vet for my dog Ernie, but God also sent an angel in a black truck Dodge 2500 HD “blackout version“. She looked at me and smiled, and it touched my heart ❤️ reminds me that “ all things in God‘s time“ I believe God puts people in front of you for a reason, whether we choose to see it or not. I see it as a beacon. I am yet indeed in the right place at the right time to meet such an angel.. MARK BLOCK, wounded warrior, soldier of Saint Michael thank you Lord! (JOHN 3:16)
Yes i’m a bit emotional because we buried two of our own ING soldiers last week; the ones killed in Syria. I was the same age when I was killed, crushed under a vehicle on the side of the road but by the Grace of God. and his general Saint Michael watched over me and ultimately sent me back. Under the condition complete the mission to share their grace with others each and every day. Wasn’t sure where I was going today, but look where I ended up?! And the reward I was given. ? ? ?? ? ?l ? if she/they/that can handle three dogs at once they can sure help me get Ernie inside as last time I try to fell over my shoulder“
