Naomi (Mimi’s daughter-in-law!) came to my time share in Kahana at 10 a.m. sharp. There are moments in life that change a man forever. For my brother, Active Duty Sailor James Peer age 29, that moment happened at the Kilolani Spa at the Grand Wailea in Maui… during a facial with the legendary Esthetician - Jenny Lee.
Before Jenny Lee, James was a simple man. A Navy man. A man who believed facials were “just lotion and cucumber slices.”
After Jenny Lee? He emerged from that spa looking like he had just returned from climbing a sacred Himalayan mountain in search of enlightenment.
I have never seen someone stare silently into the distance the way he did afterward.
At dinner he whispered, “I don’t think I can date anymore unless it feels the way it felt when Jenny Lee held my hand during the hand massage.”
And honestly? Fair.
But the true emotional climax of the experience came midway through the treatment. Jenny Lee began massaging his hand, and James … believing paradise was fleeting — felt devastation creeping into his soul knowing eventually… the hand massage would end.
Then suddenly…

and picked up the SECOND HAND.

I had the best massage of my life, courtesy of April! I had significant lower back pain and tightness when we started and felt like a new person when I left. She also gave me some simple recommendations for alleviating pain and had just all around wonderful energy. 10/10
