But I’m not a musician, per se. I played drums and percussion from 6th grade through my freshman year of college. I really haven’t picked up an instrument since then. I tried guitar once, but didn’t stick with it.Here on vacation, I kept thinking about ukelele. I felt like the Lord was saying “Go ahead. Get one”.I had several signs - both subtle and not so subtle. We stayed in Princeville and I visited a shop there. They had reasonable prices, but I didn’t feel connected. We tried another music store, and I felt the same way. Then we walked into Scotty’s. Mike was quick to greet us and was very helpful in helping me choose the right size. He asked a lot of great questions, and guided me as I made my decision. The uke that I chose definitely isn’t what I had originally planned on, but I love it and can’t wait to learn to play. It’s beautiful and unique, and the price was perfect.Blessings to Mike and his associate (I didn’t catch her name - but she’s an artist as well). Great service and wonderful conversation!“
