All the times that I've been here the grounds looked well kept. The grass is always mowed. It's really a picturesque place. They have two entrance and exits on 18th and 22nd Ave. It right across the street from Diamond Head Studios and right next to Kaimuki Middle School. This is where Diamond Head Mortuary is located. People are always having funerals here. It's nice on the inside and they have a huge seating area in the back for refreshments afterwards.

I'm not sure if they are having staffing issues but this is the first time in 20+ years that we have observed some problems. The grass has been cut halfway and the rest have weeds over the graves that are 2-3 ft tall. We dropped a pen and could find it in the high weeds. Also, ALL the water was shut off with NO explanation or warning. How do we put flowers I. A vase with no water. If we had known ahead of time we could bring our own buckets of water. Also, we probably walked to most of the outlets testing it for water. Put a sign or something to let people know. Very disappointed in the management of this place. BTW, the only water outlet we found was by the mausoleum area. It's important to know that those we love has a well cared for resting place.

We're low maintenance owners as we take care of the multiples graves regularly multiple times a week; however, have to voice our concerns about how the grave flowers are cleared recently. About 4 times in the last 3 months, we've brought fresh hardy tropical flowers to the graves. When we revisit in 3-4 days to top of the water levels in the vases, we are angered to find they have been cleared away! Good flowers especially tropicals are so expensive and in this great winter weather, they last at least a week if not 10 days! Imagine how we feel when they are cleared in 3 days. The workers try to take good care of the grass levels but need to be aware of how the families feel when they dump flowers that are newly brought to their loved ones.
