2040 S Milledge Ave, Athens“I got back from a week long vacation and was so worried my cat had a blockage. I don’t have a primary vet here in Athens, so I took a gamble and am so glad I did. The team at South Athens was phenomenal and saw me on very short notice, despite the lack of information I could provide on the situation. They did a full exam, made me completely at ease, and helped me get her up to date with vaccines. My only mistake was not bringing her here sooner!“

1562 Athens Rd, Crawford“My husband and I just recently moved here to Athens Georgia. We were not sure on where to go with our cats for the vets and we were recommended by a coworker to go to Oglethorpe Animal Clinic. My husband and I took one of our cats to the vets to have them checked out due to the cats running nose and her allergies were acting up. When we got there and you walk into the waiting room to check in there was a board that was set up with the cats and the dogs appointment names. I have never seen this before and I thought it was pretty cool idea. The people at the desk were very nice when we checked in and out. When we got back to the exam room we were greeted highly with smiles and laughter. We have never had the experience of a business being so welcoming to their clients. We did not feel like clients we felt like family. The vet and staff were very pleasant and funny. So if you are looking for a great place to go I recommend Oglethorpe Animal Clinic.“

We had to put our eldest down several months ago and they were incredibly kind and empathic to our hard decision. Our new puppy is getting all the care and attention he needs from them as well!“

298 Prince Ave, Athens“I have used the Boulevard team to care for my two cats for the past eight years. They are pleasant, accommodating, and down-to-earth. They understand all the factors that go into making decisions for the well-being of your furbabies, and they do not pressure you into expensive treatments that are unnecessary. Even after moving more than 30 minutes away, I have continued to use Boulevard Animal Hospital because of the great experience I have had over the years. I would highly recommend this clinic and all the vets on staff!“

2000 US-29, Athens“I found a small kitten by the on ramp to the hwy off exit 9. She had just gotten hit by a car. I took her to Companion Animal Hospital before they were open and saw a lady walking a dog. She ran in and opened the door for me. Within seconds the ladies had taken the kitten in to see the Dr and the Dr had started treatment dealing with the kittens pain and trauma.
Kitty will heal and be good to go thanks to the immediate action by these amazing people!
Thank you so much Companion for your prompt help and concern for that tiny baby. I will be forever grateful.
I would definitely recommend Companion. Two very impressed thumbs up!!“

41 Co Rd 229, Colbert“Staff polite
Vet took time to talk
I was on time for a 2;30pm appointment
I waited an hour beyond my scheduled appointment time to get my 2 animals checked out. Days earlier I had called more than once to make sure all was good for my appointment
I wasn't sure what the issues were. Seemed to me poor scheduling.
This was my very first appointment.
I really do want to establish a positive relationship with my local vet.“

2315 Prince Ave, Athens“We were referred to Dr. Stampley in 2023 when our husky tore her right CCL. We elected for surgery and noticed an immediate difference in our gal Scarlett. Fast forward to 2025 and she also had a tear in her left CCL. We did not hesitate to bring her back in to see Dr. Stampley! After consulting with Dr. Stampley we decided a second knee surgery was the best route. During both procedures and leading up to the procedures the staff and Dr. Stampley were wonderful in explaining everything. The care Scarlett receives when she is there is fantastic. She is now able to be pain and enjoy being a dog rather than sitting on the sidelines. If you are hesitant to get the surgery, I was, I would say to do it and do not look back. The recovery is tough but it is well worth it.“

7530 Macon Hwy, Watkinsville“Dr. Bangle was a classmate of mine at UGA's Veterinary College. Spending four years learning/working/studying with someone can give one a pretty good impression of who someone 'is'. Dr. Bangle was one of our class's dedicated & hard-working students and that has carried over into his professional practice. I would (& have) trust him with my own pets. He's also simply a very nice person. Honest & thoughful.“

2200 College Station Rd, Athens“I had my Great Dane at UGAVTH for surgery on his eye. The vets and the students (especially the students) were great to deal with and did a phenomenal job. Communication was great. They kept me up to speed on everything going on with my dog throughout his stay. I have dealt with the large animal side of the facility many times over the last 40 years and have always felt that my animals got the best care possible. This is my first experience with the small animal side and was very pleased with the care here as well. I would recommend UGA to anyone.“

“Winterville Animal Clinic is the best. I was worried about my dog, Duncan, so I took him to WAC. Dr. Mathias did a thorough examination and found nothing serious. She put this dog mom's heart at peace. I love WAC.“
