“I am 56 years old. I had 7 operations on my eyes before the age of 7. The result was near perfect vision in my left eye and a lazy eye in my right. My right pupil would look like it was in the corner of my eye. I was never able to get the two eyes to work together. I always had a left-eye perspective. My right eye worked but I would have to cover the left to use it. I tried wearing an eye patch to get the right eye to activate many times but would get splitting headaches. Nothing worked.I was told by many doctors that nothing could be done. All the doctors told me that a lazy eye could not be corrected at my age. This is not true, I am proof that it can be done. It just takes a lot of hard work, knowledge and therapy. After therapy with Dr. Cook my eyes work together now. My left pupil no longer appears to point inwards but looks straight. My field of vision has increased dramatically. I am still undergoing therapy to increase my range of vision, 3-d and depth perception but mostly it is homework now with the occasional visit.Dr. Cook used some virtual reality technology to help to initially activate the right eye that I did for about 6 months or so every day, several times a day. We then worked on 3-d awareness and depth perception by working directly with therapists in his office. He has homework for patients that you have to do to strengthen the eye and increase the ability of the eyes to function together. Sometimes it is tedious and sometimes I forget but Dr. Cook is patient and gets me back on track when I'm forgetful or just get too busy with life and forget my therapy. But I cannot stress enough that you will only get out of it what you put into it. The homework I had to do to, and still do, is essential. It is true his office is geared toward the young but to be fair this condition is usually corrected at a very young age. Don't let that stop you though. I was never treated as a child. My therapy was tailored for me as was my homework. Dr. Cook treats many other conditions than just lazy eye but I can only speak to my specific treatment. The review stating his methods are out of the 90's is misleading at best. The VR technology I used certainly isn't, as well as the other 3-d technology he is using. But some methods are tried-and-true and Dr. Cook uses everything at his disposal to achieve the desired results.I cannot stress enough that if you have a lazy eye and have always been told nothing can be done to seek out Dr. Cook for a consultation. Although I can only speak for my specific problem I can tell you that his walls are lined with the letters from children thanking him for helping them to see better.“

“Loved dr. Caffi. Please avoid Giannamore! A few people I know have been misdiagnosed by her. And of course the deductible increase was a reflection of it. I appreciate Dr. Caffi for setting me straight. He did not have to explain the obvious, very professional and friendly.“
