I thought I had walked into the movie set of Steel Magnolias!!!! I love love this place! Brittany is my new hairdresser after spending thousands trying to get my hair the right shade of platinum elsewhere at an upscale SALON in oakwood on 53 traveling WEST. Great place, great ladies and they have a tanning bed!

Brittany is amazing. She is like a magician with hair color. I've followed her to this salon and I drive almost 2 hours to get my hair done and it is totally worth it. When I first started seeing her almost a year ago my hair was in awful condition due to a bad highlight job. She has got my hair back to the healthiest its been in a long time and has customized my highlights to fit and compliment my complexion perfectly. Also gives great haircuts as well. The salon is nice and the other stylist are very friendly and from what I've seen they all do a great job.

You know sometimes those out of the way places can be the best finds. That is the case with D & J Hair. Location is on McEver, but the small strip shopping is sitting lower than the road level and if you were not looking for it, just maybe you would not see it. I think when these out of the way places open, there is a need to do better good, better service and threat the customers special. I went a couple of years ago when I was going out of town and needed a trim. My thinking is right about this place. Since that time I go between two states with different times at each state. The thing that stays the same, I wait till I get back to Gainesville to get my hair cut. Debbie...read full review
