Dr. Straughn explained why I have hormonal acne and the steps to control it and to fade my acne scars. She is so nice and put me at ease because I have been dealing with this issue for a few years. I can tell that she’s very passionate about her work and very intelligent.
I’ve been going to dermatologists since college and Dr. Straughn is the first one to EVER order lab tests. This was to identify any underlying conditions that might be causing my hormonal acne and facial hair.
The tests did reveal an elevated insulin level, that hadn’t been discovered by my primary care physician, and a cat allergy. I have a cat but I don’t have any allergic reactions. Dr. Straughn told me not to get rid of my cat. LOL!
