I ordered double arched steel doors and a palladium window from French Steel through AVI windows and doors. Although they look beautiful from 10+ feet away the quality of the doors that were installed are subpar at best with areas of the finish coming off, scratches on some of the glass panels, sloppy workmanship including an uneven steel bar and black caulk and/or paint on the glass. Tom Scardino, of French Steel, finally come out to view them 3 weeks after the installation. He said that "the doors looked fine to him and that my painter should touch up the areas where the finish was coming. Although French Steel's website states that "our architectural steel doors and their custom finishes are protected under warranties for each unit so that each project can be undertaken with confidence and peace of mind" they don't seem willing to stand behind this 'supposed' warranty. On another note these doors took 8 months to arrive from the time they were ordered. At this point this seems like the least of the issues with this company. As a realtor I often see steel and glass doors on properties and wanted "that look" for my personal home. However I had hoped for and expected better quality.

A solid 5-Star business!! The French Steel Company and Holly Scardino were recommended by our neighbors for a custom replacement of our 15-year-old front door. They have a great selection of beautifully designed steel doors. Holly and her team did an excellent job managing our project, and delivered our new door as promised (actually, a few days ahead of schedule). The real test of French Steel’s approach to customer care happened post-installation, when a minor adjustment was needed. Holly promptly responded and immediately scheduled and completed the adjustment.
