“Looking for a Veterinary Service that provides acupuncture for our 15 year old , Star. My wife looked online and found Red Oaks Animal Hospital that found the service we were looking for. We made an appointment and showed up a few minutes early. Immediately we were greeted at the front desk with a smile. Filled out some paper work and promptly taken to an exam room. Ashlie was our Vet Tech and extremely good with Star. Asked all the pertinent questions and took Star's weight. Following that we met with Dr Ortiz. Dr Qrtiz explained Western Medicine and Eastern Medicine which she is certified in. After an exam and discussion, Dr Ortiz proceeded with the introduction and placement of the needles. Star was a trooper, never flinched or move during placement and kept them in for the required 20 minutes. We have been for a subsequent treatment with the same reactions. It's been a relatively short time since Star started the protocol but seems to be doing well and responding well to the treatments. Dr Ortiz is very nice, knowledgeable, caring and professional. Dr Ortiz allowed us to stay with Star during the procedure. I think that had an effect with any anxiety issues that Star may have otherwise felt during the procedure. Probably helped my wife and I as well! Can't ask for much more that that. Very happy with River Oaks Animal Hospital.“

“They really care about your furry loves! Used them for 10 years with our sweet furry first born. Had to put him down in 2019 and they were so kind, patient, understanding, empathetic and gave us the best advice without taking advantage of our pain. Just beautiful souls! We still use them with our rescue pup (who was a chicken in a dog suit). They are so patient with him and do a great job making him feel as calm as possible. Just a great veterinarian office from start to finish!“
“Dr. K is a great vet. They have speedy service here, which is very appreciated in a time when many vets take a long time to see patients. The only improvement would be dealing with lab samples for pets; asking people to return 1-2 times post appointment does not work for everyone, especially those further away. Sending out info on how to collect a sample in advance would be helpful so that everything is there at the appointment.“
“Great experience here. We were visiting from Canada with our dog who broke her nail real bad at the base and it was all infected. She's 85lbs, dog aggressive and hates people touching her paws so we were worried about her seeing a vet she doesn't know but they were so good with her. Took the nail off, treated the infection and gave us meds with clearly explained after care instructions. They even called the next day to check in and see how she was doing. I had a few more questions about the meds and the actual vet came on the line to answer my questions. My vet at home doesn't even do that. These guys saved my dogs paw and saved my vacation.“

I cannot express how amazing the techs, reception, and Dr. LaKeisha are! They explained everything to me in the step by step treatment plan created for my dog. They explained how the medications would work and answered any questions that I had without hesitation or aggravation. I highly, highly recommend them. The pricing to take my dog in to see them on the first visit was very reasonable and I will definitely bring him back and any future animals I may have!“

“I love this place. I’ve been taking my pets here a while. They can usually get you in for an appointment within a day or two and sometimes you can walk in. The prices are very fair. The Vet is from the Bahamas and he’s very nice and wonderful with the animals. The place is basic and no frills but when you have multiple pets what matters most is the costs and the great care not pretty pictures on the walls.“

“Wait time is the same as most other vet places between 20 mins to almost 50 but they handle the pets well. They are cheaper than all places I've seen around, got my 2 male cats neutered, and given all their shots. just dropped em off at 8:30am and got em back at 4:30pm all done with their surgery and shots. Nice staff also.“
“Wonderful, affordable, and educational service. My experience with the staff and doctor was amazing! Will definitely be using this hospital in the long run. I had an emergency with my cat who broke his leg, the staff made him feel comfortable regardless of the circumstances and now he’s on the road to recovery. Love it here!“
