Sunset Memory Gardens
“My mother is buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens, and overall my experience with the cemetery has been mostly positive. The grounds are beautifully maintained and peaceful, and I’ve generally found the staff to be kind and helpful.
I especially want to recognize Chrissy, who recently went so far above and beyond for me that I felt compelled to write this review, which I rarely do.
Last week I visited my mother’s gravesite on the second anniversary of her passing and I happened to share with Chrissy that there had been an issue with my mother’s memorial plate that I had been trying to resolve for many months, with no progress. Chrissy immediately took the time to look into the matter, recognized acknowledged the error, and in less than 24 hours had the entire situation resolved.
What impressed me even more than her efficiency was her compassion. Chrissy has that rare ability to understand that the people who visit a cemetery are often carrying heavy grief, regardless of how much time has passed. She treated both me and my mother’s memory with genuine care, empathy, and respect.
Then she went even further. I had placed fresh flowers at my mothers grave and a few days later, she personally stopped by her gravesite, removed the flowers that had dried in the Florida heat and replaced them with the artificial flowers I had also left there. This was not her responsibility or something she was required to do—it was simply an act of kindness.
That small gesture meant more to me than she probably realizes.
Chrissy is an absolute treasure and a true asset to Sunset Memorial Gardens. She combines professionalism and follow-through with something that cannot be taught: genuine humanity. In a business where families are often navigating the most tender moments of their lives, having someone like Chrissy there makes an enormous difference.
I am deeply grateful for the attention and kindness she gave me and for the respect and care she showed my mother. There are people who simply do their jobs well, and then there are people who go above and beyond with a kindness that stays with you long after the interaction is over.
