Thanks to Heather with Everyday K9 we are able to take our dog Bosun almost everywhere we go. We are constantly being stopped and told what a “good boy” he is and “we wish we could take our dog to places like this”, and we immediately tell them they could if they call Heather at Everyday K9. Bosun comes on walks in the park (on and off leash), out to restaurants, and even took a nap on the floor at Captain Tony’s when he joined us on our Key West vacation. By focusing on calmness (not just obedience) and teaching the human more than the dog, Heather’s goal is to help the dog fit into our lifestyles instead of catering our day to the dog. We highly recommend Everyday K9 to everyone, and are about to start over with puppy #2!

I’m so incredibly grateful that Heather Tyack and Everyday K9 Training were recommended to me. Winston has only been to dog training classes twice, and we’ve already seen such a huge improvement in his behavior and anxiety! Heather has made this puppy and dog training experience truly wonderful. I’ll be honest—I was hesitant and nervous about bringing him to class. I’ve been in situations where Winston pulled me to the ground, and people have said hurtful things about him, calling him “too crazy.” So coming in, I didn’t have high hopes. But Heather created a safe and welcoming space for us. She guided us with positive reinforcement dog training techniques and showed us how to properly care for and handle our chocolate lab. She’s built our confidence while creating a supportive community where we feel seen, heard, and comfortable sharing our concerns without judgment. I love her saying: “You don’t know what you don’t know until you do.” We never felt guilty for not knowing how to train Winston, but now we do — and it feels amazing. We’re still learning so much every class! Heather’s experience, knowledge, and care for dogs and their families are unmatched. If you’re looking for professional puppy or dog training in Tampa, especially for dogs with anxiety or behavior struggles, I can’t recommend Everyday K9 Training enough. We’re so excited to continue this journey and see how far Winston will go!

I came to Heather with an overly excited and reactive dog that would flip out every time we passed a dog in public because he wanted to say hi (especially on our neighborhood walks). I wanted the group training aspect of her classes so he could get used to being around a lot of different dogs with different energies. Heather gave me the confidence and taught me the skills I needed and he does much better now. I appreciate her direct methods and being real about training my dog because let's be real - no dog is perfect. The confidence building is a big one for me because I was avoiding situations with him instead of overcoming them. He is a much more confident dog these days and we've been able to participate in fun dog things like agility and scent work. Our neighborhood walks are way calmer now and he behaves out in public at events and outings. Thank you, Heather!
