Where to begin, as this is one of the hardest things we've ever been through, ever...When we needed a place to go for cremation services for the unexpected and untimely death of our son/brother in mid-Sept 2022 who lived in Punta Gorda, we knew we wanted to go to Johnson-Taylor as they are local (mom used to live in PG) and they have an outstanding reputation (for good reason!) From states away, as we are both in Ohio now, Eric and his family were very private and understanding of our very delicate situation and all while hurricane Ian was heading their way. When my mother was placed on Hospice in December 2022, I was shocked, horrified, and grief-stricken beyond words. I tried to be proactive by "making arrangements" before her death. I'd been taking care of Mom for four months, but I didn't know anything about the funeral homes in the area. (I live in Virginia.) Any research I did on cremation and funerals just left me in tears. Not only were Eric and Caroline extremely caring when my husband passed, but assisted me again in paperwork and choices for his VA bronze cemetary plaque. I can't thank them enough and highly recommend them.
