He has a great sense of humor — he even joked that the hospital had a happy hour with complimentary drinks, and I almost believed him ?.

What really stood out to me was his kindness and attention to others. He heard that I have a bad back, and even though I wasn’t the patient, he came back with a comfortable recliner chair for me. I honestly don’t get that kind of accommodation back home in New York. The level of care and compassion at this hospital was unbelievable.

“I have been seeing Dr Carlos Bejar with “The Kidney & Hypertension Group” in Ft Lauderdale for over 10 years. He was highly recommended to me by my ENT Dr to help me deal with my high blood pressure and kidney issues related to me being in the ICU fighting pneumonia for 6 weeks.

Dr B has carefully and skillfully managed my hypertension meds along with dispensing some healthy lifestyle advice. He always takes the time to talk to me about his findings and to answer my questions. He has a great “bedside manner”.

At my annual checkup yesterday and after looking at my latest blood work results, he gave me a clean bill of health! He said my blood pressure is lower than its been in over 10 years and that my kidneys are functioning at a level much higher than a person of my age.
He then told me I no longer have to see him on a regular basis (when is the last time a Doc told you that) only as I felt the need.
